This was listed a week or so back for Morrisons im sure. Might help those without a co-op nearby. Heat added!

I went into my local co-op today (Leicester) and they told me they could not sell me the bowl on it's own as they had a contract with kellogs and that meant buying two boxes of cereal to get the bowl, so must just be depending on the store.

Have to see if we have a co-op in York and take a trip.

I had a huge Kellogs bowl years ago and it was grrrreeat :)

hard work finding a funky deep bowl, been looking on ebay for these and people are selling them for £5 a pop!
#9
Yeah these aren't supposed to be sold on their own, they are given the 1p price so that it actually comes up on the till and then the offer can be applied.

Was in Tesco 2 weeks ago - bought 2 packs of cereal, and went to customer services for my free bowls - they didnt have any, so I said if I brought back the receipt, could I get them later when more came in? They told me where to go!

Typical Tesco arrogance - I'd have told them where to go big time!

I went into BMW the other day and they gave me a free car.

This is an old deal. I had 11 of these bowls for 1p each. My friend has 25. The offer on the cereals ended on the 14th, so if you go into a shop that still has them, they have to sell them for 1p to you. Plus, just go through the self scan, it's the best way.
#20
Not to mention they are **** bowls with horrible designs! But hey its 1p let the masses stock up on stuff they don't need just because its 1p

Most of the time they honour the price but a shop does not HAVE to sell you anything. If something is under priced when it goes through the till they can just say "sorry this is the wrong price I cannot sell it"

My co-op wouldn't sell me them.. saw and tried this a few days ago though, so will give it another shot today!

Same happened to me in my local Tesco Metro, although they did phone me when they got more in to come and collect my free bowl. It should never have come to this for anyone. They stores should not, not, not be letting people take thes for 1p. The 1p, like someone else pointed out, is only so that the bowls can go through the checkout, and then be taken back off when the two qualifying cereals go through. I'm all for a bargain, the same as the next person, but not when it means hundreds/thousands of people might legitimately lose out because of scam merchants.

If they (Kelloggs and Supermarkets) had any sense they would scan these at £2 and deduct £2 when the 2 cereal boxes get scanned through.

That way it stops all this bad feeling.

Chuckle. Are they forcing you to eat more in one sitting then!!? Buying more cereal in one go just means you don't have to buy any more the next time you shop. Two boxes of Corn Flakes doesn't cost you more just because you buy them together rather than over two separate weeks, does it?
#27
You will all be buying these on a car boot in a couple of week's for 50 pence each lol
#28
I got 4 from Morrisons, went back to get another 4 but they had got wise and refused to sell them to me....even on a self service till!!!!

sweet jesus. 25? does your friend just bin them after using them?
unless s/he has 23 kids, it's a bit unnecessary.

Think you misunderstood what I meant. These bowls are much larger thant the average cereal bowl and so you are likely to find yourself eating more just by increasing the size of your portion to fill the bowl. You might be far too intelligent to be outwitted by a bowl. But at 6.00am, many of us easily succomb.
Ah; I'm with you. Fair comment.

Co-op on earlham road in Norwich has put them up to £2 lol
