The wok is very low quality. £2.99 @ Instore.

I don't know if you troll just my deals or everyones', but I've noticed you always come in with ridiculous (and unfounded) statements like this one (example here).
You won't find a new 30cm carbon steel wok anywhere for £2.99. This one on it's own is £19.99 on the Argos website. Firstly go learn how to season a carbon steel wok and then come back to me with that comment. I've had mine over a year and, after being well looked after, it's perfect.

A bit of banter above, love it. On a more serious note, I've only ever had trouble with Ken Hom woks and so I'll personally avoid. I am intrigued by this seasoning business however, do tell more plz.

Edited as judging by the reviews, this is the nuts: http://reviews.argos.co.uk/1493-en_gb/8616056/reviews.htm

EDIT: Actually, thinking about it, my Ken Hom wok was silver when I bought it, and turned black after seasoning. So not entirely sure if this one works the same? I have a feeling it's non-stick is supposed to be 'permanent'? Shame really.
So I'd probably go for this one as a more long term option: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchen-Craft-Oriental-Plain-Carbon/dp/B000IKS7WA

I got this same set from morrisons about 18 months ago, from memory it was on offer for £6. Decent price and it is a decent enough wok for our 1-2 stir frys a month!!

My comment is from experience with this set. Is your's? This a teflon wok, which cannot be seasoned. My guess is you have a different wok and not the one you advertised here. A bit more research on your side maybe needed.

And I have bought a 30cm wok from Instore in Leeds for £2.99, which in my household has lasted longer.

Btw, I dont "target" people. My comment I made on your Scan deal was after I clicked your link, which came up with the more expensive price (it's true that I wouldn't shop with Scan though because of their continued misleading advertising)

They are different.

This is non-stick. You can't season a non-stick wok. Full stop.

hes not far off you can get a 20cm for £2.50 granted it will be Sh1te but they can be had this cheap

I'd have to agree that ken hom woks are not very good, i had to throw mine away after 6 months and I didn't use it very often. I ended up buying a tefal wok, they are more expensive (paid £20 for mine) but they are so much better, it has lasted for almost a year and still looks brand new.

So I can vote things cold when inferior options are cheaper? Fair enough if I'd searched and noticed the exact model is £2.99, but it isn't... the thought of trying to stir fry in a 20cm wok is pretty horrifying!
It's like somebody posting a Goodfellas pizza for £2 and then I'll vote cold because I can buy a Basics mini cheese one for 49p. Yea, I guess I can but then if everyone has this mentality almost everything on this site should be freezing There's no logic to it. Same as how he voted my other deal cold for being '£70' when it clearly wasn't.

I think a lot of ken hom stuff are cheap, even the sauces, you can find them at Home Bargains for a reason...

cant really say if its better or worse quality ( Wilkos also have a 30cm for a fiver) as Im no metallurgist or manufacturing expert but just because it has his name on it doesnt mean its of superior quality, it just means he gets a cut

I have this and I'll never go back to steel woks non stick or seasoned http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bodum-K0810-01-Maestro-Cast-Large/dp/B0001M0BEW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305818377&sr=8-1

To Mamboboy:

Thank you for posting, I personally think this is a wonderful deal, just bought it as soon as I see it's still availbale! Thank you.

By the way, although it says it's non-stick, I still do seanson the wok before use as the ideal home show sales/specilist suggested me to do it...Well, It just helps to keep it in a good condition every time you use it:)

I understand clearly, click my profile and you can see I've been here a while and have grasped how to vote. But I guess you're also one of those people who sit back with the holier than thou attitude, criticize people for posting deals whilst not bothering to post anything yourself.
Somebody bagging a wok in a one off bargain shouldn't be then held as some benchmark for every single wok on the planet, bit unfair that isn't it? Wouldn't that be a bit silly? Apart from end-of-the-line items in Argos, online prices are reflected instore. I checked Ken Hom woks and there isn't one near £2.99.

But thanks for making me realise how to vote on this site. Can't believe I was doing it wrong all this time.

By the way, can you link to this specific set for less? Nope. Didn't think so.

Oh and Janz, I posted that Bodum wok here a few days ago when it was £36 (!!) but it seems people weren't impressed with that either!
