for that price it best be made of platinum, and crafted with the thighs of virgins.

My Kenwood is almost 30 years old.

I wouldnt touch this modern tat with a bardgepole.

And 400 quid! What are they smoking? Old tyres?

I can only find it cheaper at one place and even then it's only £2 less .

I would rather buy from Amazon.

The A700's & A900 from the 60's/70's/early 80s were always the best because they were made in the UK and built like brick s**7 house. Since then the quality has gone down even for the top range stuff but this is still pretty much the best appliances you can buy, its still a very good machine

And since Kenwood were brought by Delonghi all the spares are source in china and stored in Italy and not at Connect in Birmingham who use to stock their world wide spares.

Hell fire, I'd want it to wash the dishes and hoover the house for that price! It's a food mixer and their normal Kenwood Chef for about £150 will do pretty much the same job as this one, unless I'm missing something?

Nope I think it's obvious.

Bought a Kenwood food processor 1yr ago (Libra). It went back very rapidly, complete tat. Seems Magimix is the only one of quality left now.....can't afford one. There are never any really good deals on Magimix's

A bit steep for my blood.

unless you are a professional caterer, it's a waste of time. If you are a pro caterer, buy from a trades company - this is for people with *way* too much money who will spend £400 on a food processor, and then get chinese takeaway every night.

I find it really sad what happened to the Kenwood Chef. My mum has had hers since the year dot (well, probably the 70s I'd guess) and it's probably one of the most solidly built bits of electrical equipment I've ever seen. The modern ones just seem to be rubbish in comparison, although I'm sure they're better than most of the tat available these days :(
