500w motor? Unless this is a different model to the one I have it should be a 900 watt 9 speed mixer (8 speed and pulse). Perhaps it's been downgraded, anway, I bought it for £70 three years ago and I've never had a problem with it, highly recomented and voted hot. If it is a 500watt motor I reckon it'll burn out really quickly so might be worth reconsidering.

Checked the specs elsewhere, yes it is 900w - cheers.

but shell out the extra cash and get a magimix

still voted hot though

This shows as 500w in all places as far as I can see. Can you please report where you saw it as 900w? The FP698 model, also this colour is 900W.

Yes this is definately 500w, not 900w. Still a good price and hot deal, but worth mentioning.

We had this, bought at full price from Argos £99 about 2 years ago. We had it replaced several times as the material is cheap plastic and chips off, atleast for us. After about 5 replacements Argos gave back the money we paid in full minus the insurance money.
But at this price it is worth to give it a go, I think.

EDIT: The pepper mill is total rubbish as the contents will stay at the bottom and not move around to be ground.

Does this have cutting blades with it?
such as...
Stainless steel blades.
Coarse grating blade.
Coarse slicing blade.
Chopping blade.
If it doesn't where can you buy the blades?

One below at argos is only £29.99 and has blades but it smaller and does not have liquidiser.

500w is pathetic. My hand blender is 800w.

This one is the same price AND is 750 watts. Currently £39 from Tesco Direct.
Really like the Kenowod idea of one base unit for both items because I use my liquidiser daily and leave it out. Having said that, I bought the top of the range Kenwood Libra, cost nearly £90. So unbelievably complicated and sooo many attachments that would never get used. Sent it back.

There is a range called Fusion (Morphy Richards I think). They do a nice liquidiser but you have to also buy the food processor unit separately because the base is not interchangable. Fed up with tons of stuff taking up space in my cuboards.

I love magimixers but don't do enough cooking to justify that price, although they are really good

Went for a different one @Tesco for £66, seemed better quality and dishwasher proof which the other one isn't.

No vouchers codes would work though. Double clubcard points and Quidco only, Shucks

Will let y'all know what it's like when it arrives.

Am I all alone in here.......?
