I think Kitchenaid is only 300W so 750 watt should be enough.

I think the kitchen aid uses different tech hence the smaller motor

Use a drill like I do to mix dough ....my Makita never lets me down.

we use Kitchenaid Artisans, 325w motor I think but it is direct drive Kenwoods are belt, I also have used a Kenwood Titanium Chef that was pretty comparable to the Kitchenaid, the Titanium Chef has a 1400w motor so I very much doubt the KM400 can 'tackle anything' or it probably can and the debate should be how well it tackles it.
