An amazing price for a great piece of kitchen equipment. Great for baking (I have one and never had a dodgy cake with it!).

One of the most useful pieces of kitchen equipment I've bought and I can't recommend them highly enough....I use mine regularly and unlike many of my other "oh that seems like a good idea" buys for the kitchen it hasn't been consigned to the back of a cupboard/loft/shed...admittedly this may be due to the fact it's too heavy to move regularly :p

Seriously though they are worth every penny compared to the cheaper mixers....

Is there anything this can be used for other than baking?

If you mean is it like a food processor then the answer is no it doesn't have blades for slicing/dicing/chopping etc and really is a machine that is designed for baking...I've used it for cakes, shortbread, pastry, bread, dough etc...however in saying that you can buy an attachment for it to make pasta...no idea how good that is as I've never got round to getting it as to be honest I really wouldn't use it that often.

Sorry I can't be of more help....

My wife has been looking for one of these for ages.... missed the black Friday deal and now this one. Next cheapest seems to be AO @£199, which comes with a free blender. Seems an ok deal if you need both blender and mixer.
