Hey all!

This is my first post so please be gentle with me :-D

I was in the market for a smoothie machine and my plan was to get the Kenwood below from Argos (which by the way is on special offer also at my local store in Wood Green (North London) for £35 instead of £40 catalogue price. In fact, I did buy this one at Argos yesterday.

However, as I was doing more shopping, I went into Wilkinsons only to find that they had this smoothie machine for £30

Obviously, I bought this one also!

Comparing the two back home, there is no comparison between them. The one from Wilkinson truely deserves the 'Pro' in its name ---it weighs a tonne! The one from argos feels cheep compared to this one - kind of plasticy. And it has a much more powerful motor at 700W compared to the Argos one (500W).

So I will be returning the Argos one soon and get £5 back for my trouble.

I have already tried out the machine and it is a beast! I would highly reccomend it.

PS. 'Which?' magazine has got it as 3rd place in its smoothie comparisson in this months issue (its in there @ £70 so £30 is a steal!)

I just hope its still available (and nationwide) so the rest if you can benefit from it

Thanks guys

Take Care

Hi

I was surprised I got a Frothie, see below

for £5 from comet because the box was broken.

I have a similar machine and it is very good. Will cut through ice easily but liquid helps it distribute. My only (minor) gripe is that after it has been cutting a while things warm up and a warm smoothie isn't nice, so get some ice in there :)

I was thinking about that, but in the instructions it says it was not made for that, I have a separate Ice crusher for the summer days that I use a lot anyway, so ill make some with that and add them :)
