would absolutely love to take advantage of this but children a bit too small hence settled for eurodisney!!! have not seen prices this cheap before. :)

Good prices. Suprisingly there have always been these prices around if you look. I have been 4 times in the past 17 years & never paid more than £450.
Diani Beach is the best of areas.

I have been to Malindi for the past two Chrstmas's but found it very seedy.
Back to Diani this year and looking forward to Forty Theives Beach Bar! Any deal to Kenya is worth it, you will not be disappointed at the service you recieve

I dont think any of these hotels are but there have been some on Travelzoo at these prices.
I would avoid Malindi, its just about ok for 1st time to Kenya but if you have been to Diani already Malindi will be disappointing. Also Malindi is quite away from the Safaris. Diani also has some local Safaris that are just as good as the big named places. Try Shimba hills, Its a beautiful Tree top Lodge, its actually the sister of the famous Tree Tops. The beach at Diani is lovely white sands & is also great for scuba.
I think If I had gone to Malindi before seeing the rest of Kenya first I probably wouldnt have gone back.
Try learning some Swahili, its a real easy language to learn & goes a long way, You can learn the basics in one day easily.
Hope this is of help.

You may want to check trip advisor before you book. Have seen some dubious reviews for African Safari Club.

Have to agree with this. Reviews put me off booking last year.

Same here. We looked into going on a Safari as African Safari Club were offering some great deals. When I looked into them there were a lot of bad reviews about their resorts and the staff.

I was about to make this hot as the cost is less than the price of the Kenyan Airways fares on their own. I then looked up the hotels and three out of four were terrible and the fourth had mixed reviews.
Might be cheap, but I prefer my comfort. Been to kenya 8 times now and never had a bad holiday. Try Turtle Bay in Watamu - half the people who go back are repeat guests.

Dolphin hotel was very good but beware of hygiene standards.

The flights through ASC are Monarch aren't they - has anyone booked with them direct instead, I think they do Kenyan packages as well as flights?

Are there any other Kenyan operators that can be recommended instead of African Safari Club?

Cheers,

J

I generally read reviews with a pinch of salt and i purchased a holiday from african safari club !
It was a nightmare! worst holiday i have ever been on! Kenya as a country rely on the tourist industry to bring in some income, but unfortunately African Safari club is owned by a Swiss millionaire who does nothing for his staff and local community. The hotels are desperate need for some TLC and you will not have hot water or fresh running water. I am from south African and i understand that Kenya is a third world country but African safari take the biscuit!

if you do purchase this holiday or already have purchased it, go with an open mind and prepare to step out your comfort zone!

and be prepared to tip for everything!

I don't think so, Malaria is a serious illness, although I'd say many have caught both in Malindi! :whistling:

So who are people booking their Kenya holidays with if it's not African Safari Club?
#21
Came back from this holiday package yesterday. Stayed at Flamingo Beach Hotel, and I wouldn't listen to anybody on this forum! The hotel was top, and food was good. For what I paid, I will never complain and will go back next year if this deal is back! I didn't have any injections, took the risk, however Malaria spreads mainly around the Summer season from November onwards. Its true that the staff ain't been paid for 7 months, which is pretty bad. Overall, i loved the holiday, and i love the country and people.

anyone know the best way to check how many seats are left on particular Monarch flights to Mombasa?
