Have been keeping an eye on prices for a Kettler Nitro Extreme and just picked one up from Halfords at a fantastic price. Best price I've been able to find was £149.00. RRP is £169.00 but Halfords have it on offer at £119.99. Their previous price was £179.99 so they're saying it's a £60 saving but we won't split hairs! When you go through the checkout it takes a further 10% off automatically and if you use Quidco there's a further saving (not sure how much but says up to 7%) which means that you could be paying approximately £100. I've arranged to pick mine up at my local store so I'm even saving on the £6.99 postage! Please note Quidco isn't paid if you pick it up in store so the saving on the postage cancels out any Quidco benefit. Guess you can't have it all ways!!

:)

I was going to type "Seems like a lot of cash for four wheels & a cardboard box" (as I recall go-karts used to be), but then I did a quick search at Toys'R'Us.co.uk...

A few examples:

Kettcruiser Nevada II Go Kart... £449.99
Berg BF-3 Claas Go-Kart... £699.99

and wait for it...

Berg BF-7 Ferrari FXX Exclusive Go-Kart £1239.99

and...
Nintendo DS Mario Kart £23.99 (Out of stock)... Pity. I could just afford this.

I do like the (Blue)
Green Machine H20 Go-Kart (£94.99) machines though (out of stock too).

Spent about 10 minutes riding 'round a Toys'R'Us on one of those a few years ago :)

I'm buying it for my daughter who's just grown out of the Kettler one that's for 4-8 year olds. She's had endless hours of fun on it its still got plenty of roadworthyness (??!!) in it. Really well made. Looks like I should have looked out for one for the grown ups though!

Damn - I thought it was a nitro powered kart

good karts, got one for my son last xmas from halfords, got it in a sale, for around £70:thumbsup: or check in toysrus as they sell kettlers (but in a different colour?!) EDIT - sorry it was not the "extreme" model doh!

Where can you ( your kids ;-) ) ride these things? I mean aren't they a bit too fast and noisy to use outside your house? I'm tempted to get them one, but I doubt I'd be able to get it in the car to take them anywhere suitable.

Doh! Just spotted that too. Nitro? false advertising

:roll:I think if you go on the website you can get an extra 10% off - don't know if they would honour this in-store. Even allowing for delivery @£7 you are still £5 better off doing it this way.

I have the same question, anyone care to answer please?

i lived in a quiet cul-de-sack, which made for an awesome circuit. Your kids can just play in the street with them. It's not as if they have a motor. I don't think noise will be too much of an issue unless you let them out at 8am on a Sunday morning.

Nice find! Might be worth putting the price as £106.99 in the heading though

It's all done by pedal power - no motor. It's the only way I can keep my daughter fit because most of the time she would rather sit in front of the TV! Got a Wii Fit coming for Christmas too so by the end of January she'll be "on track" for London 2012!!!

Good suggestion, but didn't know how long the 10% online offer would be on and if you went to the store I don't think you would get the additional 10% off. Don't want to get a slating on here bearing in mind it's my first serious post!

Reserved and picked up in store.
They do honour the extra 10% off.
Staff seemed surprised, as i printed out reservation and they just scanned the barcode on that.
So all in all a good deal.
Just grown out of the smaller version.
Kettler make quality go karts, about indestructible (bad spelling) as little tykes equipment.
Many Thanks to the O.P.

A friend found a kettler go cart in a skip about 6 years ago and gave it me for my son. There was nothing wrong with it. Its still going strong 8 years later after lots of hammer from all the family, kids in the neighbourhood etc.. Kettler highly recommended by me!! :-D

Not really. They can call it want they want.

In a similar clever marketing stunt, the sale of a Green Aston Martin car may be perceived as saving the planet too! ;)
