Perfect timing, was only thinking last night that I need to order a mattress as baby will be moving into her own room soon. Good reviews too, ordered, thank you.

Hi,
I went into mothercare earlier in the week to ask about drop down cotbed and was told they do not make them as the metal tracks in the frame that make it drop down would be on show in the bed position so they do not make them for this reason. If you find out that does please let me know!
Hope this helps

I used to work in Mamas and Papas a few years ago and we had the same problem. Cotbeds are generally static and often the base isn't adjustable either. To be honest though I never really found it to be a problem with mine, it just means more bending down for mum or dad!

Drop down cots/cotbeds have also fallen out of favour in America due to safety concerns so that might be another reason why there are so few about. I think they were banned there last year after a number of deaths.
