Thanks I'm after a reclining one too! Smyths also have a mickey mouse one on offer at £49.99 which i believe also reclines!

I have this seat, it is ok and although my child hasn't moaned too much it isn't the most comfortable for her to fall asleep in as her head tends to flop forward, for long journeys would recommend a seat that reclines slightly.

I don't know what your budget is but highly recommend the Maxi Cosi Priori XP. Retails for around £99 but it is an absolutely fantastic seat. 4 recline positions (easily done with a lever at the front of the seat), it's very well padded, harness adjustments are easily done, cover washes really well. I can't praise it enough, and I believe it has scored very highly with Which reports too.

I was looking at this yesterday, I just need a cheap and cheerful seat for a 10 minute nursery trip 3 times a week, whilst the other car has a comfier one for long journeys. Anyone comment on how easy it is to remove and whether it's also light as we might need to take it abroad in September.

The other one I looked at was the Opus from kiddicare at £39.99.

This is very often on sale at this price. I'd suggest the RRP is inflated.

I had to send one of these back recently it was used in my mum's car so not even my main car seat. My mum was out and about with my daughter and tried to adjust one of the strap's as it was a bit too tight on my daughter and a piece of metal fell out of the strap. My mum had to drive back home basically without any strap's on her. Never heard of this happening before. Please don't buy this it could of been fatal if this had snapped in an accident! Shocking. You only get what you pay for. Maybe we were just unlucky i don't know?

I've got the britax evolva - it's fab! Mothercare price matched kiddicare for me and fitted it for £59 last month :) it's really adjustable and fits children 9mths to 11yrs. It fits our Peugeot, my zafira and our 30yr old VW camper :)

Pointless buying any car seat no matter what the price if its not compatible with your vehicles specifications, near on next to useless fitting the wrong one as likely to get buckle crunch using one not specified......

Not sure what you mean? We've been given a Britax car seat from my aunt. The proper seatbelt hooks round the frame of the seat, doesnt go anywhere near my son, and then the car seat harness straps him in. Can't imagine it would matter what car I put it in?

It does matter, not all car seats fit all vehicles, just because the seat belt fits doesnt mean its correctly fitted, main thing to look out for is what they call buckle crunch as thats the danger if the vehicle is involved in a accident, the seat belt buckle will just break otherwise, seat then loose, if you google buckle crunch that will show you what im on about, Lots dont fit my zafira so have to stick to mainly Britax as that one does, hope that helps
