oh not 4 free meals to one paying adult then, thanks for clearing this up

No but the buy two meals and get free drinks start at £4.50 and this counts as 2 meals so allows 2 kids to eat and drink free.

Thanks! Will try out Tuesday!

More kids eat free offers - really hacks me off. Why can't they just reduce the price of meals for everyone - I feel really sorry for the OAPs when these type of offers come out. Shame on you Morrisons.

Are these the same oap's that that already get discount everywhere! It's a good offer so stop moaning!

I think you'll find that their prices are no higher than anyone elses, and it's probably just a short term promo. Like it says in the title, 4 can eat and drink for £4.50. Even an OAP can afford that!

Morrisons Cafe is pretty decent food too, miles better than the likes of Tesco and Asda. Everything cooked fresh and reasonable prices too

Morrisons is a business, and familys spend the most money. It is not Morrisons responsibility to take care of old people, thats why we have a state, albeit it a condem joke.
#14
I find the OAP bashing rather offensive to be honest. It's not like loads of pensioners have been complaining,. Why turn this into such a squabble. In the present climate everyone needs a little help, not just families or OAPs but people struggling with a mortgage and cc payments too.

Great deal, heat added.

I totally agree ! Pensioners get all the deals and if local transport is anything to go by ( try getting on a bus at 9.30 in the morning , no seats its full of pensioners ) They are out for their cheap pensioners lunch every day.and bingo, and day trips. They go far and wide. Wish i could afford to. They get heating allowance for heating bills, but never use the heating because they are never in ! I am not making it up either, i have heard them chatting to eachother about where they have been.Sorry to sound anti pensioners, I am not. Just get fed up hearing " poor pensioners " Its poor everyone these days.Everyone needs all the help they can get.

Come on then bring it on - and no I'm not an OAP. There are loads of places doing deals like kids eat free - so I guess Morrisons are jumping on the bandwagon - they clearly haven't got any new ideas of their own. There are a lot of single people also who will pay a lot more for their meal and yet all these families who get everything thrown at them by the government get their kids fed for nothing - it angers me.
Clearly my views have angered a few of you - but so what, we all have opinions.

I work in a Morrisons Cafe. We are DREADING this.
#18
Not surprised Teddy - I will be avoiding Morrisons Cafe like the plague until this offer is over. I realise I have annoyed a few people on this thread but I have just done a spot poll among some friends and one was for the deal and four were against.

Not surprised when the spot poll is amongst moaning minnies :p

Ha Ha (if only you were right). Says something if Morrisons employees are "dreading it". Perhaps all these parents should work a bit harder so they can afford to feed their kids - they had the fun of making the kids, so they should pay for them8)

I reckon Obidashi fires blanks and is jealous of us parents! :-Q Hang fire and i'll see if I can find a deal on some Jaffa's.
#22
Shows how thick you are then - cos I thought only blokes could fire blanks. Have fun with the rest of your replies - regrettably I won't be back to reply as we are going out for a meal (but not to Morrisons) with our hard earned cash, nothing courtesy of the government either.
#23
They can keep their free meals the food from there is either burnt or cold and takes 40 minutes to come....

Ive only ever had one problem whilst on holiday in wales. All other times have been fine. I find that Morrisons are far superior to Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys. Maybe you have a bad one, but that doesnt mean they are all bad. Tell where else you can get a hot meal and drink for less than £1.15?

I have kids and I contribute on average £190 per month to my pension. If todays oap's are hard up then its their fault for not saving for their future. They could have done what most do but I suggest that the ones who struggle were too lazy to work, or they want their cake and eat it. Also a lot of oap's own their own house - downsize if you need the money. Yes there are a few who are genuinely hard up through no fault of their own, but you wont ever hear them moaning, and I sympathise with them.

Anyway what have oaps got to do with this deal, each year Morrisons give them a freebie at xmas anyway with the pensioners day.
#26
Our local Morrissons cafe is full of OAP's so they clearly have no issue with affording thier meal.

Not a parent and not a pensioner. Good deal for those with kids, so heat added. ( Although we could always borrow a couple of kids and get them to pay half the price.lol.)

well i am a single WORKING mum and i am chuffed you can get free kids meals as i cant afford to spash out eating out unless there is some sort of deal on ie like pizza hut etc, not like people on the dole who can 24/7 on amount they get paid and all the extras they get too, heat added

Nice to see that kids are those under 16! Pizza Hut offer where kids eat free is only for kids up to age 12. Disneyland free kids places are for kids under 12. So this is a good offer for us with teenagers.
#30
If it wasn't for some of the pensioners about some of you ungratefull **** wouldn't be eating anything. Shut the **** up man, its a top deal.

good spot! In comment to Obidashi i respect your opinion but please note that not everyone who has kids sponges off the government!! Both my partner and I work very hard to provide for our 2 children so why shouldn't we take this opportunity to take them out! I'm guessing you never take advantage of any offers that are applicable to you then? Its always the same - people have to find fault don't they! Well i for one welcome the spot so thankyou ianshona!!

yeah oaps have it real easy, what with there riddiculous pensions and freebies...

im being sarchastic

Great deal, shame there's not a Morrisons cafe anywhere near here.

Is there anything that says it has to be parents who take their kids? Why can't the pensioners take their grandkids out for dinner? Or their own kids for that matter? I know a few pensioners who still have kids under 16!!

Simple solution to receive this deal........

Turn your computer off and find yourself a partner!!....Then for a real extreme measure have some kids.....

Hopefully though, being morally challenged as you are, I would assume you would avoid any offers that are aimed at families...

Just to make you aware, If we dont have families, WE DON'T HAVE A FUTURE....tut tut!!

What if the weekday is not a school day? I doubt they'll care - can't read the small print on the pic

To annoy me even more Obidashi, as you are a "Newbie", the deals are purely highlighted for the benefit of others. In your case, maybe you should not have even glanced at the deal as purely the deal was of no beneficial use.

Once you have wet your badge, and been on HotUk for a little longer, you will understand the psyche of the site...

Obidashi - you ought to remember that its others peoples children that will be looking after you when you are an OAPs. (no matter how much money you have or havent got). So dont resent those who have contributed to society's future.

i think you'll find thats some families not all families
maybe you should of re-worded it
ive worked all my life even part time from the age of 13 im currently 39
i have a family and have never claim anything from from the government
yeah its a little annoying that our income tax is paying for people being at home all day
just cos SOME of them dont want to go out and work, but thats life, you just have to get on with it
