When can I travel?

You can travel anytime at the weekend and on off-peak trains Monday to Friday.
Outward and return travel must be made on the same day.
Off-peak generally means after 9.15am (9.00am for journeys in Strathclyde) with some additional restrictions in the evening peak.
Restrictions may apply on other operators' services.
Not valid on the Cross Country services from Edinburgh to Aberdeen at 1811 on Saturday and 1813 on Sunday.
Not valid on East Coast services on Sundays between Edinburgh and Dundee after 1545, but is allowed for longer journeys from Edinburgh to Montrose and beyond.
Which routes can I travel on?

Available for Standard Class travel on all routes in Scotland.
Available on all opertors' services.
Do I need to book in advance?

No.

I was at Edinburgh Zoo and they refused to take my "normal" train ticket, says it has to specifically say "kids go free" on the ticket so make sure you get that.
