# Rounded corners for added safety.

# Capacity 8 x 15kg bags of sand.

# Sand not included.

# Outdoor use only.

# Also suitable for balls.

# Adult supervision recommended.

# Easy to assemble - some self-assembly required.

# All fixings supplied.

# Size (H)22.6, (W)120, (L)120cm.

# For 18 months and over.

"Easy to put together and quite sturdy and my 2 year-old granddaughter absolutely loves it"

"Was assembled by my 9, 5 & 4 year olds so simple to assemble (I used the screwdriver!)!!! Good height off the ground for the kids to reach in & they like the bench like seats on either side. Could do with a few more screws to stablise it or another plank inside to keep sides together. But good size."

You'll need a tarpaulin or other cover to prevent it becoming the neighbourhood's largest litter tray!

Heat added - a good price for a nice wooden one instead of a plastic eyesore. Used to have one. The cover will keep cats off but doesn't really function when it rains as it just fills up. Might want to get busy with some timber ply to make a better one.

That goes without saying but you'd need pretty big balls to fill this up. :whistling:

i got 1 of these years ago and the groundsheet thing was a plastic mesh thing and was useless

do not bother if u havent got level ground as the sand just slides out from underneath the frame
and also my son tried lifting the frame up and the sand just went everywhere.

Classic.. the reviews are ok tho

I had one of these a few years ago- we lined it with the weed suppressant stuff which we bought seperate and held in place with duck tape
The cover with this isnt fab, but a cheap single fitted sheet fits perfectly over the top of it and keeps unwanted moggies out!

The luxury litter tray ... every cats dream :)
#10
I may be wrong with the sheet fitting this as well- mine was an ablong sand pit, just realised this is square- DOH!!

We had one last year and it' pretty flimsy. Ours fell apart before the end of the summer, we've just bought a plastic turtle one from toys r' us for £15.

BTW play sand at tesco is 2 x 10kg bag for £4
#12
Good deal, BUT this sand pit is rubbish! I wouldn't buy this again.

The cover fills up with rain, the kids dig straight into the weed mesh thingy, the wood is badly put together, I could go on.....

good point. our raised beds cost a heck of a lot more than this and look very similar!

certainly worth it for that. Use one myself for salad crops, works well. Lots cheaper that "proper" beds
#16
So this is effectively a plastic sheet and four planks of wood and some screws? All available cheaper and in larger sizes at your local B&Q...

I was going to use mine as a flower bed, my one is a hexigon shape so was going to make a little feature in my garden, as its been sitting at the end of my garden doing nothing for the past 2 years as i said in my previous post it was useless as a sandpit
