Killzone 2 for under a fiver... if you are worried about GAMES dodgy preowned quality i would get it instore. My copy i picked up yesterday was in mint condition and could have passed for brand new !

This is from Game.co.uk just so everyone knows as it wasnt in the title

Now, i only got my PS3 for xmas... have only managed to play about 20 mins on it already, but im looking forward to catching up on all the gaming gold that ive missed.

Not looking forward to how long this is going to take to update before i get to play it. Uncharted 2 took me over 40 mins and LittleBigPlanet was a mammoth 2+ hours....

The anticipation is killing me!

Main campaign is ok. Never played it online.

For a fiver you'd be mad not to. And because its Blu-ray they don't get affected by scratches.

How come patches were so slow to down? I redownloaded Burnout Paradise 3.5GB plus all it's patches in less time.

Beating Killzone 2 on Elite difficulty was the most satisfying experience I've had with any first person shooter. I absolutely adore the game's art direction, realism and cover system. There is not a better campaign and for a fiver you'd be crazy not to have this in your collection.

The only problem with the online was that some of the objective based game modes aren't designed well for large numbers of players. Spawn campers, disarming a bomb in a small room with forty grenades tossed in. Stick to the 8v8 option and the biggest maps.

Killzone 3 beta online sounds really promising and footage of it's single player looks like they've increased the scale on everything. I still don't think it 's multiplayer will attract any Call of Duty idiots. It's atmosphere alone frightens them off.

It has a 9.2/10 on IGN

Check out the video review (Or read it if you prefer)

It's solid enough to play, looks nice and has/had decent online play.

Ordered, thanks.
I've never had any quality issues with pre-owned from them.

I could not get into this game at all. Very repetitive and the guns all feel underpowered and have ridiculous recoil.

I thought it was great. The single player was ok and the online multiplayer was superb if you played in squads/clans. The Graphics were pretty well done.

Many people didn't like the movement as at times it feels a bit slow a clumbersome compared to something like CoD, however that was the whole point. The movement was to reflect having to carry a heavy gun while wearing body armour.

It's certainly worth a try for £5 and if you like it Killzone 3 will be out in Fab/March.

Its a hell of a lot better than Heavy Rain which has been my worst christmas present.

Ive no idea, ive never used a PS3 before, my 360 doesnt take anywhere near as long, maybe i just caught my internet connection at the wrong time.

The LBP update is taking the mickey now, i had 13 updates to download and im up to waiting about 2 hours now, its still only halfway ! its killing me.. its such a stupid option not to have it update whilst the machine is turned off.

good game but came out at a similar time as the C.O.D series and we all know which 1 topped the games list, Bad planning from the game marketers same as what the have done with the MOVE, ie where the **** are the games for the move?

but for £5 this game is WELL worth it, good fun, intense game

Very good game and a steal for this. I have a 360 and PS3 so don't lean either way. Grab it for this price. Fantastic graphics and good playability. PS3 updates are the worst though. Take soooooo long compared to 360, but worth it in the end.

I love Killzone 2, I'm not keen on the multiplayer, but the single player campaign was one of the best, better than Halo Reach (which was also great)

for a fiver, it's awesome

It came out three an a half months after World at War. February 2009. Killzone 3, February 2010. Games don't sell well that are released right in the middle of summer if that's your suggestion.

Call of Duty's core audience is the gamer who buys two, possibly three games a year at most. FIFA, Call of Duty and something equally dull.

went to the Ilford Game store - found one on the shelf - waited 10 mins whilst the chap failed to find the disc. Eventually picked it up for £6 at CEX.
Only played for an hour or so so far but looks really good!

Im playing through mine at the moment, its hard to get used to. I guess im still not used to the PS3 controller. Also, pressing the L3 button to bring up the iron sights...wtf

I havent played it enough yet, but if you can it will make the game 10 times better. Its just not natural ! lol

Agree that it's an odd default setup and lots of people didn't like the game due to the controls. After a play around with the setup I found quite a good setup for me and really enjoyed the game.
#30
yeah, i like the game, i guess i just need to make the old controls a bit more intuitive.

Doh, im never gonna get my badge for having a deal over 500 degrees ! lol
