How much do you think you could sell the extra crap for? I considered doing that but didn't know if the extra effort would be worth my time.
#8
Must be a crappish game if its lost its value so quick. Even cex are offereing £16 cash and its been out a few weeks or so.
#9
This will go nicely with my new Move machine gun. Thanks!

gamestation still showing as £37.99 for me - good deal from game and gameplay though

Really enjoyed 2, but have held off buying 3 since it seemed very much the same again, but at £25 it becomes a very tempting purchase, anyone care to give a proper non fanboy review of the game, comparing it to killzone 2??
#14
great price imo :)
well worth a go if you've not tried it.

jordan or killzone ? ;)

Is really an immense game guys. Feels like your in the middle of a proper war with bullets whizzing past you left, right and centre! the sound is also amazing and game play is as intense as anything. The opposition are really hard to kill at times but that just adds to the difficulty. Great game but the cut scenes and voice-overs sometimes do mess up but for gameplay itself, get it!

Multiformat gaming magazines Games TM and Edge gave it 7/10, it has a very short Story campaign mode

From playing the demo, it would seem to be exactly the same as Killzone 2, which I thought was ok. I'll probably wait for this to drop to £10, which judging by the price now, won't be that long.
#24
in light of the short campaign comments I'll be waiting for it to hit £17.99 as well
#25
i know it might sound crazy to some, but me and a mate are wanting this so if you order 2 and use the code [email protected] the total comes to 44.98 so only £22.50 (ish) each.......
#26
Game are still offering £30 trade in price, as of yesterday.
#27
Voted hot, will be waiting for sub £20 though. Looks like I won't have to wait too long though. X)

The single player was a good few nights of playing, excellent gameplay and graphics, better controls + movement and more responsive than killzone 2. Played online a few nights, only 5 maps that got quite boring so traded it for £30 gamestation credit other day, worth playing for £25 and perhaps selling on ebay for a similar price in a couple weeks...

If you only saw 5 maps it sounds like you only played the "Guerrilla Warfare" ("Deathmatch" round) game mode & missed two thirds of the online experience!

On the "Killzone 3" Blu-ray Disk, the 8 online/multiplayer maps are as follows (with the various game modes of play):

"Corinth Highway" (Warzone)
"Pyrrhus Crater" (Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone)
"Bilgarsk Boulevard" (Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone)
"Turbine Concourse SE-6" (Warzone)
"Frozen Dam" (Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone, Operations)
"Akmir Snowdrift" (Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone, Operations)
"Mawlr Graveyard" (Warzone, Operations)
"Kaznan Jungle" (Guerrilla Warfare)

The "Retro Map Pack" (subtitled "Reclaimed Territory" in the US) adds the following 2 maps (from "Killzone 2"):

"Salamun Market" (Warzone)
"Blood Gracht" (Guerrilla Warfare)

The second "Map Pack" (downloadable content), "Steel Rain", was announced on 24 February 2011 & was rumoured to be available on 29 March 2011 (from the North American PlayStation Store). This "Map Pack" will add a further two map locations as follows:

"Junkyard" (Guerrilla Warfare)
"Stahl Arms" (Warzone)

Guerrilla Games have since stated that the issues with the current lobby system will be resolved before the next Map Pack is available.

BFN,

fp.

I have a move starter pack that I've not used yet and did a search on the best move games and this came up. http://techdrag.com/best-ps3-movie-games.html

Has anyone played this with with the move controller? Do you need to have the gun to plug the controllers into? Is it worth buying for the move experience?

to be honest i really really enjoy this game ive got the helghast edition (collector so im not touching it) but i may get the plain edition also jus to play as think the online play is excellent :)

Very good game, gameplay, sound effects and cutscenes are great. The controls have been much improved and perfected over KZ2, there is still that wieghty realistic feeling, but is more responsive and quicker, think COD's twitchyness and KZ2's weight had baby and there you go. The story does let down a little at the end, but the story is quite enjoyable and campaign is a little short at 6-7 hours (longer if on harder settings), but even so the gameplay is brilliant. The multiplayer though is one of the most solid and entertaining online FPS's on console to date, really is good.

I dont know why its dropping so fast, as it got good reviews, and the worst it got really were 7's. Its well worth £30-40 let alone £25 in my opinion (if you'll be sticking with it for the multiplayer). I cant see it dropping sub £25 for a long time, my guess is they are just price matching.

Also, its been very well developed for the Move, not something tacked on at the end. Works very well with it, and if you have a Sharpshooter it can be a lot of fun.

I think it's a must buy if you have the move, found it really something with the move.
You don't need the gun, I didn't.

If you don't use the move I'd say tbh it's like any other fps, really makes it stand out.

Saying that though I was disappointed with the campaign, really short and thought the end was crap.

Great game, hot.
Operations and Warzone are fantastic, got 34 kills on Warzone last night!! Woo Hoo!
KD ratio still shy of 0.8 though dammit....
#38
Im gonna wait this one out, a mate of mine got it and said the single player is really quick and short so would rather wait to get it for 15-20. Not in any rush, need to finish all my other games first really!

Cheers. Tempted - but I know I'll buy it and it'll just go on the 'to play' pile. Arrgh. Should I, shouldn't I? If it stays at this price I suppose I can wait.
