Good price, hot from me.

Excellent price (16gb is still £199!!!) was hoping a deal would come out so for the size (64gb) and capability compared to other tablets I think this is a cracking deal

Just noticed this the 64gb version is down from £260 to £180 and Amazon sent me a code about a week ago 30% off any Kindle so I ended up getting the 64gb version for £125 as this is meant to be a stonking tablet with KitKat onboard.

Don't get sucked in by amazon. The controlling nature of the company is becoming sickening. + there middle of the road tablets. Better deals to be had with a quick search. Cold. Also pay your taxes amazon!

If you don't like Amazon you could always buy the tablet (which they make a loss on) and then flash it with stock kitkat.
Or you could buy diffrent tablet from Google or Apple both well known for paying their taxes in full :P

30%? What magic is this? I buy a ridiculous amount off Amazon but never got any codes :(

This is more powerful and has double the storage, what makes the Nexus better? And where are you finding it cheaper than this?

Nice tablets as long as you can live without Google integration, an annoying lock screen, no widgets, the occasional screen rotation issue and a not exacty awesome app store (slow to update apps, no refunds, a lot of apps just disappear) They do offer a free app every day which occasionally are really good and there's the odd super deal like the £20 of credit I recently got for buying GTA: San Andreas for £4. Mind, you can install the Amazon store on any android device.
If you're on Amazon Prime they're great for watching your included films & programs on the move.
If you're a regular customer then buy the ad supported version, after a few days contact customer service and tell them it's annoying you and they should get rid of the adverts for free.
TBH compared to stock Android (my wife and kids have Nexus') these aren't great so unless you've got Amazon Prime and you want to watch away from home I wouldn't bother with one of these (unless your going to flash a new ROM I suppose).
Oh yeah, and there's a slight blue tinge around the edge of the screen that you'll notice whenever the background is a lighter colour.

I can't see any instruction on flashing AOSP onto the HDX, I have been following this for a few weeks as I've been after one myself. It is possible that some people are confusing this with the HD which could be rooted and flashed.

Gapps/Google Play can be added though.

For anyone buying this, I just received the Origami case, which you can get for £22~ from Amazon Warehouse, and it is highly recommended. Best case I've seen for a tablet. Magnets all over the place.

Thanks for the link, seems to be unstable though. Been looking at an 8" tablet, therefore I was very interested in the HDX but will just have to wait till Volantis comes out. Hopefully it will be competitively priced.
