Great find thanks! Was about to buy this for a lot more elsewhere! Cheers

My brother is tempted.

though now just wondering what game to get, Dance central or sports.
Wants both equally.. how many sports does kinnect sports have?
#4
Saw the kinect in action for the first time yesterday and was quite impressed, looks far better than the Wii, but in saying that I'll definitely be waiting for a while before considering it. Need to see how the games for it shape up. Kinect sports looks like one of the best games for it so far (6 different sports according to wiki).

Played on the Kinect for the first time the other day and was not impressed at all. There is too much response time from when you make the movement to it actually being mirrored on the game. Even if you watch the adverts you can see the difference in time especially on the kinectimals advert. Good deal poor product imo.

You need to go through the shopping cart before you see the discount, once you are logged in (the stage just before you click buy) you will see the discount.

Can't say I've noticed much lag. Not enough to affect the game anyway, although I haven't really player Kinecitmals yet.

And the ability to post comments on the deals people post make this site an excellent resource not just for finding deals, but reading what others think of the price and the item posted!

You aren't controlling the cat in Kinectimals, it is mimicking your moves.

Hmm.. had Kinect since launch and have not noticed anything like this, aside from a slight delay in responding to a jump in Kinect Adventures.. Was the Kinect is properly set up/calibrated. I only ask as ours works pretty much perfectly in nearly all lighting conditions.

Anyway.. this is a good deal, for an excellent product (when correctly set up)

I got one of these for the kids for Christmas and was amazed how good it is. I thought it would be a gimmic and no way would it work well but its a simply stunning piece of hardware.

This is much more than a generation ahead of the move and wii motion capture technology.

You think £120 is alot for an addon with a game but when I actually saw it in action even on connect adventures there is such a huge jump in capability and potential for this versus the other current motion sensing game hardware. Expect some stunning titles for this in the comming years. The kids completely love it. Couldnt get them off it. Both my sisters decided to get one for their kids with 5 minutes of seing it working.

When you consider Zavi were doing the new slim 4gb with connect adventures and kinect on ther ebay outlet for £200 recently, that really is outstanding value for what you are getting.

My wife wanted this so I picked it up plus 3 of the better games. She has played it for no more than 30 mins!
Personally, I think it will go the the way of the dodo.
And I will tell you why. kinect is a casual gaming device at a top-of-the-Market price.
£300 for a console and kinect in this current economical (or any other climate) is beyond the impulse buyer.
Secondly, the games. By far the most popular games on the 360 are FPS, football games and action/adventure 3rd person games. I am intrigued as to how these genres will be accommodated with the kinetic. I just don't see it working. If you need to use a pad also, the marketing and premise of the device fails.
While by no means perfect, Nintendo got it right with the wii. Good price point, intuitive gameplay (albeit shallow) and an understanding of the device and the market it will be used in.
Microsoft have indicated that 2011 will be geared toasted kinetic support. It sounds ludicrous but it feels like microsoft in the rush to compete have overlooked some vital issues.
I hope to be proved wrong as it has cost me a pretty penny and I don't have space on the shelf. That's taken up by the mega CD, atari jaguar, Xbox hd-DVD drive, PSP, neo geo......the list goes on..........

Happy new year to all!

Did you not get her Dance Central?

Is she not the right 'target market' for a dancing game?

Its not £300 though Its £200 if you get the right deal. I paid £220 for Kinect and slim with adventures from Zavi ebay outlet.

Also you couldnt be more wrong on the sales. Its sold over 5 million units worldwide in little over a month. If you look at the Wii launch figures even the Wii didnt sell that many units in the same period and look how successful and relatively cheap that was !

More importantly it has had a HUGE effect on 360 sales world wide. The 360 is out selling the ps3 by 10 - 20% every week now and alot of that is down to Kinect. The 360 was the only console that beat last years numbers and by a healthy margin over the last few weeks even in the current financial climate. Thats WW of course.

You cant get hold of the games I cant find Kinect sports anywhere locally its completey sold out.

As I said my SIsters saw it their kids have Wii and ps3 they both said they will be buying a 360 to get Kinect the kids love it so much. We couldnt get the kids off it. If a suitable for adults well its down to what you want as party games yes but its mainly for the kids thats who it is aimed at.

all valid points but ultimately, time will tell. After all, the PSP has sold over 50 million units and still widely considered a failure.

Got the kids the Kinect for christmas, missed all the films on TV as they absolutley love it. Went out and purchased Dance Central and my little girl loves it. Kinnect Sports is brillant. Kinnect adventures is brilliant, so much to the game. Also purchased sports motion which the kids love. All what I have got to say is read instructions before playing and go on practice scenes. They are little flaws on some games but nothing major. Good Price from Amazon. VOTED HOT.

how do u get this to work it keeps coming up with £172 in my basket when i add the 2 games

I think the two games includes the kinect adventures that you get with all kinects
#31
The games you can play on this are going to be really limited as your not going to be able to play a football or FPS (the most popular games) without a pad / controller. Its a gimmick and not actually good for anything. Reminds me of the ipad.

Loads thought the same about the Wii when it first came out and that did well enough for Sony and Microsoft to move in the same direction.

Not so, we have a progressive relationship where we share responsibility. Her xmas dinner was great but not as good as my crumble ;)

I this the cheapest around at £109. Has anyone seen any instore anywhere at this price. Not sure my son can wait til next week for one
#39
Of course there wont be traditional sports fps etc games for this. Like the Wii they will have to be inventive and come up with new types of games or new implementations for old ones.

Thats the point !

There are loads of games in developement for this, third party developers love it as its not a lock out like the wii and sony locking third parties out of the most profitable and popular game types.

cheers managed to cancel my game order and order this as its mainly kinect sports. i wanted will pick some other games up cheap elsewhere
