OK, I know not everyone will be informed enough about this stuff to care, but I was pretty excited to find these at TKMaxx Birmingham. They are glass containers that come with air-tight, liquid-tight plastic lids. The idea is that you use these instead of plastic tubs to transport food that you are going to microwave. When you microwave things in plastic containers, some of the plastic molecules enter your food and you don't really want that in your body.

I like to take leftovers to work and microwave them, but don't like having to scrape them out of my plastic container into a ceramic bowl. I got a lunch-sized one of these, so that now all I've got to do is remove the plastic lid and replace w/ a paper towel before microwaving. The one I bought was £5.99, but in order to avoid plastic toxins it's worth it to me. They had smaller ones at £2.99 and bigger ones that I didn't check the price on.
