These are sold in my local chemist for £10. I have had two. The first one stopped working after a couple of months - I put that down to bad luck. The second one broke after a couple of months....

I then bought an Omron one off Ebay for £24 and so far its not broken...

MinerWilly I use "ASHAMPOO SNAP 3.0" software. Currently they are giving away 5 great softwares for free including the snap3. (Would recommed the Win Optimizer 6.)

http://www.ashampoo.com/uk/gbp/lpa/christmasgift?c=XMAS-2010

I have been using Ashampoo softwares for a long time. They are quite good but the only downside is they send a lot (yes a LOT) of marketing emails which is really annoying. So if you download these free softwares don't use your primary email to register.

The heart rate monitor. It's cheap and not very good. I wouldn't recommend it. You get what you pay for tbh. Better going with a Polar.

@richardm86 - Horses for courses. For £6.99 I would not expect this to be fanstastic.
I would expect it to be a HRM that tells me my heart rate during exercise, the peak HR and the average HR. I would expect the HR to be an accurate measurement. That's all I want. The HRM does this and more. For £6.99.

I bought two and they're great. Also, if the battery runs out in the watch or chest-strap it is very easy to do a self change. Some other brands need to be sent back to the manufacturer.

Yea, that's all I wanted. It doesn't seem to even pick up the heart rate most the time.

To be fair the first two I got were returned after 0.5hr, as both watches had dead batteries. Are you sure it was not a drained battery in either the watch or stap causing he inaccuracy?

The 2nd lot of two are working fine. In a living room test, they are very accurate with the HR measurement compared to numerous sample manual counts. I can not complain at this stage. I'm giving it the full trial later in the week when I'm on court and sweaty. Let's see how it performs then.

Bought 2 of these, don't get a heart rate reading on either. Battery in the chest strap is at 2.9v which should be enough. Could it be they are interfering with each other, or are they locked to set frequencies?

Worst 14 quid spent this year .....
