Just what I need but shame about the location. No CostCo near me - is it open to the public if I paid membership or do I really need to be a business?

Yes includes civil service and any professional status (accountants, engineers, lawyers, doctors).
Just need some sort of proof, letter on headed paper from employer, ID card type thing. Sorry can't remember the specifics.

I suppose that if you have a paid membership trade card (businesses purchasing for commercial use or resale or are members of selected employment groups) and have a vehicle capable of transporting this item, then perhaps this might seem a good deal.
However, for the majority (I suspect) of the people who visit this site who are unable to avail themselves to these (so called) special Costco postings they are a complete waste of time.

People who hold trade cards to places like Costco, Makro or to any of the numerous Cash & Carry's dotted around the country should know what's on offer (and the prices of the same goods if bought elsewhere) by regular contact with the supplier, like I do, and personally I think it 'unnecessary' to keep posting them here.

Whinge over!

I go there maybe once every month or two mainly for food shopping, I have no idea what specials, or you, are currently on.

I see deals from The Pound Shop as a waste of time because there isn't one near me - don't whine about it though or vote cold because of it....not every deal applies to every person so get over it.

Which is presumedly why you thought, after saving up your pennies to run your vehicle, that you'd like to share with us all your lucky find!
I'm deeply indebted to you!

But, this offer isn't in the catalogue / voucher booklet - it's end of stock clearance, so is not advertised anywhere. Hence posting here.

Want me to pick up your rattle or will your parents do it? No need for sarcasm is there dude - people are posting deals to save other people money and you are whining about it but don't post any deals yourself? If you can't say anything nice......

Unfortunately those of you that have made a comment on my post really have missed the point.

This forum is for EVERYONE to reap benefit from by the postings of helpful people who have found, what they consider, to be a bargain, be that being only store or area specific, and taken the time and trouble to advise others of their find. And long may that continue.

I consider that to post so called bargains which are only available to a restrictive few, and in the case of Costco they (or someone) would be paying a 'membership' fee for the pleasure of, and which are not available to the general public, are ONLY of interest to those who are members of the same 'club'.

The times I see posted in here bargains being found in say a national electrical wholesaler to find that someone has posted a reply saying that it's cheaper in Costco, or Makro. What use is that if you can't buy it in a Cash & Carry because you have no access to it. And in case you think that I'm whinging about something I don't have, let me tell you that I have Makro Trade Cards and access to other C&C cards, including Costco.

This was the point I was attempting, and clearly failed at achieve, to my make by my original post. I trust that I've made things clear!

I suppose we'll still get people saying how great C&C prices are but perhaps they will think if their replies are a constructive alternative before posting them!

If something's only available in Scotland and I'm in London, there's more chance of me being a costco member than there is of me taking a road trip to Scotland to buy the item. And this has nothing to do with your original point that members should know what is available anyway by being in contact with the supplier(!) so I don't think anyone has missed the point, you just seem to have veered off it yourself.

Very strange, this deal has nothing to do with me.
