It's a good price, but only 10p cheaper than currently on Amazon.
Having said that, Kings Lynn Models is an excellent independent shop and well worth supporting.
But amazon customer service is better :p

This is the cheapest you will find a full 3d, collective pitch indoor heli that will handle outdoors just as well. I've put it in the Kids Topic but this really is for "big" kids that want to sta…

This thing is tiny, far too small for someone to start with collective pitch. They would just break it lol

I have the mCPX, I cant fly it for love nor money but I rarely break it. You would be amazed at how much punishment these things take. Something like a 350 is probably easier to learn on but much more likely to break.

If you're just getting into collective pitch, best spend some time on the simulator, whatever you intend to fly.

Edited to say that breakage depends on how you respond, if your transmitter is set correctly, one of the switches can be set to kill the throttle, remember this is collective pitch, so stuffing the throttle stick down (when its all gone a bit pete tong) pitches the blades so you're essentially driving the heli into the ground, just killing the power saves much in the way of breakages :)

Also want to add that although these things look like a toy they can be quite dangerous, those blades spin very fast and will make a mess of anything they hit... the state of my lounge ceiling lights and my interior décor is testament to that :o

It is surprisingly robust and comparatively stable. I am very happy with it as a second collective pitch helicopter. The best and the cheapest option as a "proper" collective pitch helicopter to start flying at home for now.

Haha well hopefully people wont. I just wanted to point out a very good deal for an indoor 3D micro heli.

But if they want something safer, get the Phoenix Flight sim :)

This is not a good beginner rc heli. This can be found cheaper asa BNF if you already have a controller which anyone thinking of buying this should already have.

As I said, this is a serious rc heli, not a knock around toy. That said, the Nano CPX is a perfect starting heli for someone that is moving to Collective Pitch. I would recommend people start on Fixed but that said, this deal is for a very cheap CP heli which you can't dispute.

Obviously BNF is cheaper - it doesn't come with a transmitter - however if you did buy this deal over the BNF's available you would net a profit by simply selling the Spektrum DX4e on eBay (for at least £40).

Perhaps you can provide examples rather than just stating your opinion (which doesn't help anyone).

Either way though, this is the best deal available for this heli, therefore surely it can't be voted cold.

Woo hoo, mine has shipped and will be here tomorrow. Twister 3d Storm with battery and charger for sale for £90 if anyone is interested!
2200 cells are great as can be used in the majority of park fun aircraft and heli so you can't go wrong! I would go for the Kings Lynn version of the charger DX sell for £9.99:

http://www.kingslynnmodelshop.co.uk/p3344/Tamco_2/3S_Lipo_Charger_240AC/product_info.html

And pick up a battery for £17.99 so you can get flying quickly:

Or this one on sale, meant for buggies but spec is perfect with a high discharge rate and only £20:

Mmm... tempting. I have a Spectrum 6 reciever already. Might be a nice upgrade from my MSREdit: Ouch, looking at £100 for a couple of lipos and a charger
Batteries from dx.com £13.54 each. http://dx.com/p/11-1v-2200mah-30c-replacement-li-poly-battery-pack-for-450-rc-helicopter-48617Cheaper batteries available but a lower discharge rate.(Need to either change the heli connector or the battery connector as they are different. I would change the heli to Deans)Charger:£21.82: http://dx.com/p/imax-b6-2-5-lcd-rc-lipo-battery-balance-charger-100-240v-us-plug-35190£7.22, not as flexible but will certainly be suitable for the above battery: http://dx.com/p/imax-b6-2-5-lcd-rc-lipo-battery-balance-charger-100-240v-us-plug-35190So £35 all in for 2 batteries and a charger.Deans connectors: http://dx.com/p/high-current-ultra-plugs-t-connector-10-10-pack-shrink-tubing-20-pack-set-10788

You're a terrible terrible person =p

(Cheers, for the legwork. Didn't consider DX.com £165 seems very reasonable for the package..)

You could get it from here for the same price, but they offer free delivery for orders over £175. If you need it delivered from OP's deal it's an extra £4.95.
Awesome! I am keen to try out FPV with head tracking so the camera turns as you turn your head but it is all pricey to get in to. This would be fun for the park.
Hi have tested one of these and can confirm that they do fly very well. They are let down slightly by the poor camera and signal strength. My advice would be if flying this keep it very close. Other than that a very good price.

I showed this to the wife and she said "The last thing you need is another tiny chopper!"

She's quite right - I do have a sizable collection of mini helicopters!

loasds of cheaper and better variants available for those interested in this kind of thing.

D

Care to share with us the cheaper and better variants? The Blade has good spares availability and price and uses DSM TX and RX which is compatible with other DSM radios. This is not a 'toy' like many of the cheap models posted on this site and will allow real flying skill to be developed.

The average price for this is £130 to £115 so this is currently the best price and showing in-stock.
