- Supported memory types PC1600/2100/2700/3200
- 128-bit dual-channel memory access

Nope. This mobo uses DDR not DDRII.

Thanks for clarifying!

Would it not operate at the lower DDR rate though?
#10
There is a site you can check what RAM you have:

www.crucial.com

Someone gave me the link the other day & I brought 1 GIG of RAM for about £26 so this is an even better deal.

RAM seems to fluctuate in price as much as shares do.

Voted hot, even though I still don't understand what it does?

No. DDRII has a different slot configuation. It won't physically fit.

Something like this http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/52057 is what you are after .

DDR2 PC2-4200/DDRII-533 (this is whats in mine at the mo)
DDR2 PC2-5300/DDRII-667

so could you use these in the same pc (i mean say take out the 533's and put in 667's not both together) i posted my pc spec few posts back i got some memory that was same as what i had from pixmania and it give me grief loads of memory errors and stuff
#18
the ddr II 667 will run at the slower speed so yes it should be fine
#19
Edit: Ignore, silly question

when you go to your basket there is an option to checkout or underneath Google checkout logo to click on, choose this set up a google account and bobs your uncle.

remember if buying 2 for dual channel put through 2 seperate orders to get the £10 twice
#22
amazing price gone for another
#23
Great offer, I've bought two as well.

Mainly because my memory has to be in matched pairs, but it's still a bargain.
#24
Awesome price! 4Gb ram for less than £100!

Corsair value select also available from ebuyer for just 3 pounds more if you prefer:

Trying to buy this, but the price with supersaver delivery and google checkout it £28.06.

It is £22.38 ex vat. Is this what everyone else is getting or are you getting it for £22.95 inc vat?

I actually ordered these last week when they worked out at £24.99 each, delivered, with the discount.

I placed two seperate orders so as to make use the the voucher twice

When I logged into Gmail to check the order I find that one of them has been cancelled (the other one is still active but not delivered yet)

I haven't a clue why either, as the reason given was:

"eBuyer has cancelled your order. Your credit card will be refunded in full.

Reason: Other (describe below)
Comments from eBuyer: "Order cancelled by Ebuyer"

Which is less than helpful! I needed two sticks of ram! Damn them!

:(

Well guys, if this price has gone up, get the corsair modules instead, as they are now cheaper!

How does the Kingston memory compare with the Corsair 1GB DDR2 667 MHz 128MBx64 non-ECC 240 DIMM Unbuffered CL5 (quickfind code: 92879) which seems a bit cheaper?

Regards
Sunil

They should be similar - I personally would have gone for Corsair (even when the Kingston was cheaper), but have owned both Kingston and Corsair ram in the past neither of which have caused any concern.

In the world of RAM, corsair is one of the kings

£28.95 before google checkout. add a £1.05 filler to get the item for £21.53 , although the other one has faster bus speed, if ur mobo limited this one might be a better deal
#39
checking through posts last few days, think someone should write a definitive memory article and sticky it.as a start all memory is backwards compatible, whatever speed you choose it will run as fast as your current mobo or ram configuration.ddr is 184 pin.ddr2 is 240 pin.laptop memory is 200 pin and called sodimm.cas timings rarely count these days.also building systems i find make on modern mobos doesnt count as all will run.

Does anyone know if this is compatible with my Dell Dimension E520? Any help is greatly apreciated.
