This is the low voltage stuff so good for Core i3/i5/i7.

Remember some of these Play RAM deals last a few hours and at this price don't hang around.

Given that most of Plays stuff is sold out of the Channel Islands, do you pay duty on this or is it just a cheaper way for Play to operate?

Just bought an i7 system from dell outlet with 4gb Ram in 4 slots of 1gb, wondering whether there would be any real benefit in upgrading to 6gb. (2x2+2x1) hmmm

Are you running a 64 bit operating system? If not then definitely no.

Unless you are using software that is VERY hungry for RAM or doing major level multi-tasking then there's no point in upgrading.

Note: As already mentioned you'll need a 64 bit O/S as well.

Probably right, don't really need it - but then didn't really need the i7 system in the first place but it was too good a deal not too. Would have been rude really - lol

Am I right to assume this is also compatible with Socket 775 system as well like Asus P5P43TD, Intel P43, S 775, PCI-E (x16), DDR3 1600(OC)/1333/1066, SATA II, ATX ? Just don't want to buy it and then regret it :-)

It should very likely be compatible but if not just eBay it for a profit. :)

Intel i5 750, ATI 5850, Seasonic X-650, 500gb Samsung F3, Gigabyte P55M-UD4, 4gb RAM, Lian Li PC-V351 Case. Getting expensive...

However there's a small possibility that I might waste an extra £30 on getting a Maximus III Gene motherboard and also buy a Noctua CPU cooler.

It usually means they’ll honour the price if they get more stock regardless of what the new selling price is. My order is showing as ‘Packing’ which is good as I posted this deal.

Hello all, new member here but a long time lurker. Ordered this deal too just before the price went up. Got the order pending 'Awaiting Stock' too so heres hoping it goes through!
#33
mine arrived today, nice and quick
#34
IMPORTANT:

I have just been on the phone to play because they have charged my account despite the item saying awaiting stock. The guy I spoke to said play wont be getting any more in despite it saying awaiting stock and cancelled & refunded my order

And mine, (also in a very very very large envelope).

I think I was quite lucky, as I had added it to my basket, but when I went to check out it showed 'out of stock', but I thought 'what the hell'.

they did the same to me, I didn't cancel though and subsequently I've had an email today saying it has been dispatched.
