Me also. There was definately another thread about this, which is how I found out about them. I ordered mine back then, and received it a few days ago. Excellent product, excellent price. I think it ships from Belgium. And the actual capacity is about 3.83Gb.

would this work on a mac?

It's a great price but my 256MB is really fine for the time being. I'm just going to wait for the summer and buy a 8GB (to put entire DVDs into it). It's around £35 somewhere now. At the rate these things are dropping it shoudn't take long for it too to be £20.

I'm almost certain it would. I bought two Kingston 1GB pens for family and they both work on my mac.

Can't get mine to work with XBMC, it won't mount. I've used 2GB Sandisk sticks which work fine - I don't know if it's a size limitation issue or perhaps it needs to be formatted in a different way? (using FAT32).

recieved mine few days ago-been working fine-used it to transfer data from mainframe to laptop.

Are these U3 and/or do they come with a lanyard?

The limit is 4Gb so it must not like Kingston. Wonder if a Sandisk 4Gb would work... :?:

Thanks for the link, the 4GB Kingston drive I got from dvd.co.uk is the "DTI" model. According to the list, the 2GB DTI doesn't work but the 1GB DTI does.

The 4GB Sandisk Cruzer Micro is listed as compatible, and this is the only 4GB stick on the list. Might try one of those when it reaches the Kingston's price level (probably won't be long!).

The link posted by hessian lists some compatible card readers, though I imagine there are many more that work that aren't on the list. I assume you will be using flash memory cards rather than USB sticks ?

using flash memory cards rather than USB sticks
I am really not fussed, but if USB sticks are compatible then I have one of those and would not need a reader.

Most of the readers listed on hessianare's link are not available in the UK and the sony is about £35, thats steep for a card reader:-(

Only bought my xbmc Xbox of ebay a couple of days ago so have not yet taken delivery of it.

Why not use DIVX format then you can put 10 films on instead of just one !

Well that's something I would certainly do but I don't normally need to transfer 10 divx movies at one go. I used the idea of a DVD (4.3GBs+-) instead because time to time we all need to move large dvd files, whether they be of movies, games, software...

So for them it would be quicker and more convenient to put the 1 file onto the usb stick. For a single DIVX file i obviously could do the same.

Note:On a side note one of these would be great if you had a DIVX DVD player which had a usb stick input like a Philips i saw on amazon a little while back. Then you truly could have 10 DIVX movies on the usb and leave it stuck to the dvd player. That would be brilliant. Shame the Philips DVD player was a poor quality one.

Having sampled a LG one and returned because of poor picture and lack of multi region due to firmware change, I bought a Phillips DVP5960 and think it's a perfect player

Upscales the picture perfectly and Divx works very well. I have a 2gb usb whioch I use for transfer of files but looking at the 4gb, might as well get one of them.
Will keep the kids happy when not running around the garden:thumbsup:
