Starting at 4 GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, Kingston’s SDHC cards use a new speed "class" rating known as Class 4 that delivers a minimum transfer rate of 4 MB/sec. for optimum performance with SDHC devices.

Although identical in size to today’s standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.).

For added reliability and durability, our solid-state SDHC memory cards are built of nonvolatile memory components and have no moving parts that could wear out or break. All cards are 100-percent tested and are backed by a lifetime warranty† and 24/7 live technical support.

Just a warning, as the description is a little misleading, a class 4 is far from the fastest and will be insufficient for most HD video recording (my camera does 720p and minimum recommended is class 6). I know this isn't the OP's words, just clarifying, it's still a hot deal.

Another thing though is these do have a limited read/write lifecycle and do get corrupted over time so they don't really last a lifetime; if you care a lot about your photos or you take a lot always be sure to backup regularly and replace the cards from time to time (I do it every 1-2 years).

Be wary of this company-when a fault develops and goods are returned for a refund, they deny knowledge of ever receiving the goods!

Alot of people rate Kingston, I think they're overrated, usually overpriced and suffer alot of compatibility probs...

I feel so cheap...

MyMemory emailed me with this offer earlier today, but said it was a very special offer, and I only qualified for this £4.99 price as I was one of their top 1,000 customers.

"You have been selected as one of our top all time customers, so to say thank you for supporting us, we would like to offer you the following bargains at ridiculously low prices."

They lied to me...
I feel so used, cheap, and dirty...

(I quite like it.)

yeah really bad value that lifetime warranty....

I must have bought over 400 different pieces of kingston branded stuff and can honestly say never had a single problem. Few years back bought a 1GB stick of ddr from ebay, didnt work on arrival, one email to kingston posted to them and they replaced it immediately

Never had a problem with Kingston cards, and these class 4 type work fine for HD video.
I think these are conservatively rated, the write speed is well over 4Mb/s.

Somewhat eclipsed now tho' by the similarly priced Transcend class 10 which is another fine card

Lifetime warranty is on alot these days, i think I just got the few bad ones, USB pens with a blocky design so it doesn't fit in the slot, SD cards that my car stereo and camera spit out and PC memory that just beeps when not faulty. Puts me off thats all but thats just from my own experience..

Do MyMemory do these in 4GB, if so I've got a Class 6 8GB Transcend card, 2 years old, never had a problem, and smoking hot read/write performance, may pop over and have a look !

ps Orig deal hot, 4GB for a fiver - wow

The problem with the Transcend cards is that they don't really get much faster after class 6 so the faster cards are a rip off. If you're after a class 10 then I'd recommend the bytestor's for the best price/performance ratio... This is the one I'm currently using (8gb £10.75)
