MyMemory are a big company - better than PLAY.COM even though they both send from Jersey, mymemory are always faster. I have ordered stuff from MyMemory before.

It's a Japanese Kingston.

does it matter ? i know with the non sdhc cards the jap ones were quicker but i'd have thought the sdhc ones were all the same as they have to adhere to the sdhc specs or atleast i hope so
#15
Very hot deal. Thanks:-D
#16
could anyone confirm if this can be used in a psp slim (with adapter) or is 4gb the max size i can use?
#17

Yes it matters - The SD Class system only specifies a minimum sustained write speed, which is meaningless when they are used in flashcarts (it's very important for cameras though - they need to save lots of data fast).

The important speed is the Random Access Transfer speed. On a good toshiba (rebadged as danelec/pny/nokia/kingston japan) card it can be as low as 0.5ms, most other cards are 0.9-1.5ms. Sandisk cards typically are around 1.3-2.6ms (excluding the premier/ultra line).

I'd like a 8gb card for convenience, but the speed difference when using the cheaper NDS flashcarts (edge, dstt etc) between FAT16 64KB clusters (maximum of 4gb card) and FAT32/64KB clusters is immense, especially on the DSTT menu - it's a lagfest when formatted as FAT32, even with the best cards.

No there is no practical limit set on the size of memory that you can use.

Bargain price for 8GB but..

Anyone had issues with Kingston Micro SD? Ive had a couple, reformatted them and they have corruption problems on them. Also takes a year to copy anything reliably on them! I must admit, I got mine from dealextreme though, so not sure that if its a regional issue thing...

Does any kind soul know if this works on Blackberry (i.e. the 8100 Pearl which does take Micro SD).

Many thanks,
Mark

More likely a fake thing, DX don't sell original memory cards.

Upgraded my BB 8100 Pearl to 4.5 OS which supports 8GB and 16GB cards.

Ordered and here's hoping it works!

Had a problem with the latest 2gb Micro Sd I had off them. It's useless. Every other I've had has been excellent and genuine.
#25
is the adaptor included ?
the specification says "can be used with apporpriate adaptor" but pictures on site show the adaptor as well.
#26
it includes an adapter to full size sd but not a mini sd adapter
#27
Totally sweet. Got mine last Friday. Incl. adapter. Working brilliantly on BlackBerry. Loaded 1100 tracks. Excellent!
