Hmmmmm excellent price but are they genuine or fake?
#2
No chance they're genuine.

Ordered anyway just in case they are :D
#3
well worth a punt at this price - just dont risk anything important on them
#4
Reviews suggest the customer service is zero, no refunds.
Forums are divided whether genuine or fake. 50/50. Debate going on since 2008!

Believe me - buying this is the equivalent of writing important data in the sand...just before the tide comes in.

A couple of years ago I did the same and bought a cheap USB drive. Worked fine for the first couple of weeks, until one day it became corrupt and all data was lost. Plus, on inspection, it was flashed to say 2gb when really there was only 256mb of storage on it.

Buy from a reputable uk supplier, my memory, mr memory etc.

I don't mind DX other than they take forever to deliver. I usually never order any sort of flash/memory card from Chinese sites as there's a high chance of fakes, but for 0.81p, I take a punt. :-) If its fake, just open up a PayPal dispute. DX generally refund when you do.

These are 2nd gen so low price might be stock clearance... I hope...
#12
Are these genuine? Any way of finding bout ?

The product 'saled out' now when I tried to add it to my basket.
#15

Whats the name of that software thats checks the true capacity of a drive ?
Bought a few 32Gb SD cards a few years back for my camera and found out they was only 2Gb cards
but my computer read them as 32Gb
#20
Sold out !!!
#21
Site says sold out now.
#22
Can't believe people are asking if these are genuine! Considering the source and the price the chance they are genuine is nil.

For the price it might be worth a go, but don't expect to be using this device for long.
#23
I thought HUKD nuked posts from this type of vendor?

If they are fake, to return the USB stick to original size is usually possible (not all the time). Here's some pointers.

Depends on the chips from last time I did this.

I've had loads of stuff from DealExtreme and its all been ok. I ordered 6 of these USB pen drives. It cost £5 so if they don't work then so what. If they are legit then that's a result.

Warehouse: HongKong

Well that answered my question of it being fake. Same tat that is on eBay!
Good deal for temporary storage though, wouldn't back anything up on them!
#27
Wouldn't order anything from DX, even if it was free nowadays ;)
#28
Sold out :/

DX has been fine in the past, usually buy adapter cables and stuff from them. Lately, around half orders never arrive so doesn't even matter about cost - it's much like flipping a coin!

I've ordered recently from DX.com without any issues. Normally you forget you've bought the item, remember a month or so later, go to check up what is happening just as it freakily appears through your letterbox ...... I've also had some pretty good customer service from them when I had an issue.

I tend to use banggood.com (don't laugh) a lot these days - they seem pretty reliable, a lot cheaper than DX. I had a module delivered (£4) which had a solder bridge, contacted Banggood who asked me to try and repair it myself. If I broke it they would replace it, if I fixed it they would give me a bit of credit towards my next order lol. Couldn't argue with that.

You had time to visit the Vatican?

Just spoke with them as my account vanished but now sorted but they have said no stock waiting for the restocks at the moment when it says being prepared for shipment so looks like we will not be getting.....

Word of caution:
I ordered these and received an order number, but when I log in to deal extreme the order number doesn't exist.
So no chance of ever receiving them.
I had that tonight and my account vanished so i have spoke with them and the rest you know as above...
