I did a search all over and this was easiest the best price I could find, so please, if you vote cold colud you post the link to where it can be bought cheaper as I've obviously missed somewhere? Thanks.

It is false economy to buy 256MB SODIMMs. They are effectively obsolete.

The 1GB PC4300 SODIMMS are only a tenner.

Certainly cheap enough but shouldnt imagine theres much call for 256Mb Memory

Cold from me. I just bought a 2gb stick for my NC10 (for £15 and I can't find anyone to take the 1gb I removed off my hands. Who needs 256mb?

As others have said, 256mb is useless. Majority of laptops only have 2 slots, so the max you could make out of 2 of these is 512mb. I'd barely reccommend running XP on that, let alone Vista.
1-2GB sticks are cheap as chips now anyway...

I have an 'old' hardware sampler that I'd stopped using due to lack of memory (64MB) - cost £1000 new at the time. For three quid I can increase it's capacity four fold and start using it again.

So thanks very much!

It might be the cheapest price around but that does not make it a hot deal as it's poor value for money. Cold from me.

haha this makes me laugh
i had a look at my 1st PC over the weekend which i somehow still have in the attic
was amazed by the power of it
128mb ram
400mhz celeron processor
6.4gb hardrive
and it cost me over £1000 from Tiny Pc 10years ago

good value

hard to find sticks this size for use in obsolete hardware.

i think its a bit harsh that people mark thus down, not because it is a cold deal, but instead they do not have a computer that has maximum memory limit of 1x256 or 2x256..

i was actually searching for these sticks the other week as i needed to upgrade an 8TB nas's ram, which just so happens to use these memory sticks.. prices i were finding where £15+
