The new Class 10 Kingston Micro SDHC removable memory card has been developed specifically to expand the memory capacity of today's high spec mobile phones.

This micro sdhc card will enable you to store more music, movies, video clips, pictures, ring tones and more.

The ultra-small Kingston micro sd consumes very little power therefore giving you an extended battery life in your mobile phone. Please note:

- Compliant with the SD Specification Version 2.00 (SDHC)
- Versatile when combined with the adapter, can be used as a full-size SDHC card
- Compatible with microSDHC host devices; not compatible with standard microSD-enabled device/readers

i think its good deal in other places is more then 40 quid for this card.

Compatible with microSDHC host devices; not compatible with standard microSD-enabled device/readers

What does it mean by "not compatible with standard microSD-enabled device/readers" and why is this cheaper than lower class Kingston sd cards?

It just means they have to be high capacity readers. I don't know any that aren't.
#7
Thats std.

SD, mini SD and micro SD are all pin compatible so just need passive pin to pin adaptor
SDHC, mini SDHC and micro SDHC are all pin compatible so same

They are not interchangable with a passive adaptor.
#8
Thanks for your replies guys. So why is this cheaper than lower class Kingston cards and why would anyone buy a class 4 for more money from the same shop?
#9
maybe its so cheap coz its on sale? lol

Good price for a class 10 card however if you want it for a phone then read this first. XDA
It seems that in order to get higher overall transfer rates random access rates for small files suffer so class 10 may well be worse than slower speed cards in normal use in phones. They will of course be better at transferring lots of large files so if that's what you need then they are better eg probably cameras.
#18
If I wanted to watch movies of a tablet with this would i notice any difference from the class 4 lexar linked above?
#19
amazing isn't it... what you can fit on the end of your fingernail nowadays.

great price

Received mine today and am very disappointed. Running speed tests using H2testw_1.4 is giving me write speeds of around 7.5MB/s, which is far from the minimum 10MB/s promised by a class 10 card!!
#31
My write speed is about 8.68MB/s, my class 4 8GB Kingston and class 2 8GB Sandisk does over 10MB/s. Seems like a memory chips lottery.

Mine still shows "Awaiting Stock"... probably should just cancel it!

Yeah, I got around 8.6MB/s using CrystalDiskMark - is that what you tried? Have you used H2testw_1.4?

It shouldn't be a lottery. A class X card must perform at a minimum sustained speed of X MB/s. You wouldn't expect a Kingston card to fall so short of the standard. This card should be advertised as class 6, nothing more!

By the way, I've verified the card to be genuine:

That was using H2testw_1.4, definitely verified with Kingston. At least the cards are reliable.

Lets see when it turns up if I get anywhere near class 10 now LOL.
