Half a gig of branded DDR memory .... WOW!

Don't bin your slow old laptop, ungrade it's memory with one of these memory cards to give it a major speed boost ... especially under Windows XP

Check your machine's memory type on the internet and make sure the specs tally up with the information below :

DDR (NOT the newer DDR2)
200 PIN (your laptop HAS to have a 200 pin connection)
SO-DIMM

Compatible with following bus speeds/types
400 mhz (PC3200)
333 mhz (PC2700)
266 mhz (PC2100)

My two year old Sony Vaio K-series loves this upgrade and it works great, now much faster. well worth £8.

Kingston Technology also offer a lifetime warranty (subject to conditions) and 24/7 techy support service.

This offer is definately in-store , not checked if on-line.

typical just brought the pc2700 1GB for 23 bucks and now the price drop within a few days. Hot anyway as the older DDR mem is expensive wherever you go!

Looks very similar, though my old laptop will not accept over 1gb of memory so I would check the maximum yours can accept so that you dont waste your money. The one I posted seems to be more compatible with older laptops. You can find out the specs of your laptop memory, just 'google' your laptop model ..... hope this helps you. If you still un-sure just post your laptop model here and I'll look into it for you.

have tried before and cant find anything on it, medion say it will take up to 1GB and crucial say it will take up to 2GB it is a medion MD95101 at mo its only got 256, so if the one you posted will work i will buy 2 of them

oh well it looks like i missed out anyway, none local to me and no longer available for delivery
#15
Never mind, you could always try Aria or Play.com they usually have good memory deals ... good luck sassie

Sassie, I think your medion MD95101 is only expandable to 1gb max memory. PC World were selling a 256MB version of this card I posted (you had to reserve online and pick-up in store) it still appears to be on their website (I just checked)... for £1.97.... so get in quick and give it a go and good luck to you..... Your memory will then be 512MB - and thats plenty to run XP smoothly  Dont even think about Vista on it (Vista's rubbish anyway)
