Thye need a mSATA port

No, this is an mSata drive, and requires an mSata port (looks similar to a MiniPCIe port - the two generally aren't compatible)
Therefore, this drive can't be used as a replacement for a standard HDD (or even a non mSata SSD) without using a conversion card.

Good price though if you're after an mSata, as I am.

No, but if they do check about your particular laptop because in some HP laptops the storage is limited to ~20gb.

Heat. Good price as mSATA seems to retain a price premium at the moment.
#8
great price but have not encountered SATAIII speeds on an mSATA port yet, so a converter would be the way to go.

going by the picture, for up to a third of the power consumption! also frees up the SATA port for another SSD for dual boot or boot+media separation

I'm afraid not. the C720 uses M.2 SSDs, not mSATA SSDs
