This is laptop RAM for anyone who isn't sure. The "Computer Memory" bit makes it sound like desktop RAM!

Good price though, £22.19 @ Ebuyer and £21.92 @ Dabs.
great find, thought it was the same memory as other thread
Out of Stock.
Would this work on my laptop it has PC4200 ddr2 ram.
Yes this will work on your laptop if it is already using PC2-4200 SODIMM memory. Just make sure you have a spare slot for this unless you plan on replacing what you have in your laptop already.

Shame they don't have the 2GB chips as my laptop only has one memory dimm :-(
Would this work in Dell vostro 1000?
the laptop i got can take up to 4 gig but when you have 4gig in it only will use 3.5 hmm

so went for 2 x 1 gig to replace the 2x 512

Scooter, You're probably running a 32-bit operating system (Doesn't matter whether it's windows / mac or Linux) - This means you're limited to 4Gb addressable memory - but as things like video cards need addressable memory you end up with around 3.5Gb usable RAM. If you search on "32-bit memory hole" you'll find plenty of arcticles to explain what's happening and any work arounds for your O/S.
is a great site for checking what memory you can use for your Laptop/Desktop
