VAT is already included in the price of 44.37
#5
How are you getting cheaper postage, mine is £9.99 + VAT.
#6
£50.37 delivered for me too,
#7
Can you Overclock this? Don't know much about RAM so will this be perfectly capable of handling top end software and games?
#8
£50.37 here too. So suddenly not such a bargain :(
#9
Yeah, this price does not inc VAT... Maybe it's still cheaper than else where?
#10
I too would be interested in this if the postage was more like the 4 quid posted in the OP. Are we doing something wrong?
#11
P&P actually £11.99, £9.99+vat.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR DELIVERY? We have a simple ‘by weight’ delivery charge for all orders, regardless of the number of items on the order. Each 20kg (or part thereof) is charged at £9.99 + VAT. Details of delivery cost for your order is clearly shown in the basket online and will be advised to you by the business adviser in store or over the phone.

Next cheapest place is eBuyer at £65, so still a £15 saving which is still a deal... just not one I'm itching to jump on immediately. If they cut the rip-off postage down by at least a fiver, perhaps I'd dive in.

Done some reading and see people saying the 1.65V isn't great for some Intel CPUs.

you probably can but you would have to sacrifice timings plus ram speed makes very little difference so I just leave it as 1600

I just read as much in my research. Read the same for the CL rating (this stuff being CL9) apparently CL10 (slower) doesn't make much difference. Some people seem to have an issue with 1.6V ram, opinions range wildly :| Some saying it's fine and others saying to puts added strain on your cpu, lessens its life, and voids warranties on Intels! What to believe lol.

Also read to stay away from buffered ram unless you're putting it into a server or other dedicated workhorse type machine because it adds latency to varied tasks like gaming. At least I know more about it than I did yesterday thanks to this thread!!

well I run amd so the voltage isn't really a problem for me and overclocking anything really has a element of risk but usually the risk is pretty low

Yeah read that too about amd being ok with 1.6v too. People saying intel 4xxx cores being the same, then othera saying any penium is ok with 1.6v ... others saying it's really just 1.5v but 1.6v means that's what it can be ran at... you don't know who to believe. With a shortage of "1.6v RAM killed my CPU" stories out there, i'm thinking it makes very little difference in most cases.
