You'll never eat it again!!

#5
I would rather consume higher quality dead rotting flesh, sorry.

The Kintyre Breaded Scampi is the most digusting thing we have tasted for a long time.It did not even
look like anything out of the sea.I cannot think of why a shop like Morrisons should even stock such
rubbish.

Love this stuff, Friday nights thanks op
#8
Awful stuff, its just bits pressed and glued to together :p
#9
Don't bother, it tastes like condemned bits!
#10
not much different in taste to other frozen scampi on supermarket shelfs guess most negative remarks are people who cant cook.i trust morrisons to sell me edible safe food and dont let the tv put me off food like others.
#11
As said the "formed" stuff is pure crap we will only eat the whole tail scampi.

It's called 'Kintyre because that's what it tastes like...
#13
yummy - thanks

I bought some, and can't complain at the price. Most frozen food is totally reconstituted and artificial, so I'm not sure what people have to complain about. Doesn't taste any different than what you would get from the pub.
#15
I saw this last week, they are 41% scampi or somewhere thereabouts and even that is reconstituted.
#16
It's a hot deal if you like / are goin got buy this stuff... with regards to the comments on "what" you are eating....... agree with above, it's like buying reformed randome bit's of shellfish from unknown origin. Good luck!
#17
Agree with most other posters - this stuff is horrible.
Tesco's are doing Youngs half price at the moment, and this is much nicer.

The one time I tried Kintyre "scampi" I found a marble-sized ball of something pitch-black in the centre of one piece. Very fortunately I happened to first nibble off part of the breadcrumb coating on this piece, idly glancing at the remainder on my fork while I chewed. Had I popped the whole thing in though, I would have been unaware that the centre was competely black.

Never again!

Because most of Morrisons stuff is Crap. Look at their fruit and veg. It rots before you get a chance to eat it.

Minging...Morrisons own label whole tail Scampi at £2.15/pack (3 for £5 recently) is far superior...and its a bigger pack size from memory.
#24
Great price/deal but last time we cooked these they stank the house out with a fishy smell for days.
#25
Tried these last time they were bogof but they were minging and nearly inedible. Avoid.

And the smell???

"If you knew how it was made you wouldn't eat".. "it if you knew what was in that cigarette you wouldn't smoke it".. "if you knew what was in wine and beer you wouldn't drink it" and if that's not enough if you knew what was in the air you wouldn't breath it...There are far worse things entering your bodies than a few broken fish fingers parading as wannabe scampi.
One life live it!!

I have never tasted a nastier frozen fish product, it tasted like mush, with grit sprinkled on it.
