Skinless and boneless Alaskan Pollock (frozen)
Contains four individually vacuum packed portions
Cajun Spiced (also 2 other flavours: lemon? tomato?)
Best before Jan 09 (eat quick!)

This was in Tesco in Chelmsford - offer expires tomorrow, I think.

I think it just means that its been coated in a thin savoury coating before freezing.

Well done, but they are reduced from £2.50 I think. If you can tell people where to get them cheaper, fair enough. Also, might be worth checking the expiry date, cos 10 bags makes a serious meal. :w00t:

Tesco peterborough had them 49p a bag.

They should last a few weeks in the freezer :thumbsup:

is Alaskan pollock not from miles away - how come is it called Kintyre? Or am I mistaken( not sure - been wondering for ages)? I prefer to buy cod and haddock and trout if it is from near UK. Some plaice nearby, basically.

Kintyre seems to be a trade name for Dawnfresh Seafoods of Uddington, Scotland, but according to the pack it's "produced and packed in China".

exactly - I can't understand why people accept such food miles on products - ALASKA pollock , people!!!!:x

buy cod / haddock etc - British fishermen or at worst, EU fishermen. Plus less damage to environment in shipping it.
