just got some assorted nuts for xmas, but can`t find my nut cracker, (last seen this time last year).

so i thought i`d do some research and get me a new one that doesn't hurt my hands as much as the traditional ones,

these are the best apparently for ease of use but they may not hurt your hands but they sure do hurt your wallet:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Drosselmeyer-DRO0001-Nutcracker-Black/dp/B000T5O8GI/ref=sr_1_74?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1482365256&sr=1-74&keywords=nut+crackers

i`ve picked this one because they have good reviews on amazon, and are supposed to be easier on the hands, they look quite solid too.

can`t find them cheaper elsewhere

Don`t vote cold coz you don't like nuts!

Be a man and use something completely inappropriate to crack your nuts.
Its a bit like jabbing away at a coconut with the sharpest knife you own :p

I got one similar to the Kitchen craft one a few weeks back from Aldi, I think they were around a fiver. I have only tried it on walnuts so far but they work better than any others I have had over the years.

Went in to my local Aldi today and found the last one, reduced to £2.99. Bargain!

Totally irrelevant really to the posted item, but last year I was hunting for a decent nutcracker and was totally underwhelmed by the ones available around and about. In the end I got one like this (I'm not the seller BTW) Massively over-engineered, very easy to use, and rather cool if you like Star Wars. No nut can withstand the power of the force!
