By the way... if you cannot stretch to the price of the Stadium 120, the KitSound Stadium 60 is also available from the same eBay shop for £20 less (i.e. £39.99 delivered). It is only 60 Watts and has a wired subwoofer. See here.

tempting, any idea on what the quality is like from a personal perspective? i.e. how does it sound to you?

I've never used a sound bar before, any idea how it compares to surround?

I'm in the same boat as you - I've never owned one either. I guess I'll know more when it arrives on Tuesday.

Cheers,

Great price for a wireless 2.1 system. A lot of them have wired subwoofers which is odd

Nice find OP

I've owned 2 kitsound speakers, a boom bar and the contempo, have to say, they are good products, the contempo has amazing sound, and both are durable/good build quality (dropped the boom bar about 20 times lol)

Online reviews say it's better than TV speakers, wonder how it sounds compared to other 2.1 speakers? I'm currently using my Logitech z323 plugged into my TV, wondering if I should get this sound bar for better audio?

Thanks!

Most of the reviews reference the other soundbars like the Ovation.

Hard to find any professional review...

This is a steal at £60

Is the power lead detachable so I can swap for a long one?

One of the photos here indicates it is (for the sound bar). One of the photos here indicates it is for the sub too.

A soundbar can't compete with a surround system at all, the most it can do is throw out a fake "virtual surround". However a good soundbar or base should immensely improve the standard TV sound.

Been looking for a sub that will fit under my bed and this may very well do the trick. Thanks for posting

thanks for that, I thought the same but have only heard people very into sound bars I've got a very cheap 5.1 system that has terrible reviews but seems to work alright for me, though it did break once

Good guide here that includes plenty of photos and shows type of power connectors

Heat. Been after a soundbar for a while but didn't want to spend big bucks, this seems to do the job. Thanks OP

Ha i was about to cancel and reorder with the £5 TCB offer but then saw it has gone back up to £170 now!

This is £80 on Groupon if people still want it (obviously £20 more but still a decent price) https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/kitsound-stadium-120-soundbar-and-subwoofer

I think there is a 25% off code for new customers as well so could potentially be the same price.

Groupon new customer code doesn't work.
#34
Glad i ordered it last night then, i almost left it until the morning.
#35
Thanks nickbooth.
Ordered at £59.99 before the price hike to £170 but I'll imagine it will drop again in the future.

I'm on a budget (you need to be on HUKD as there's always stuff you find yourself wanting/needing or didn't want) and this is my first sound bar but should be vast improvement on the inbuilt speakers on my projector. Fingers crossed that I can just route the audio using a 10m optical cable from my xbone for watching Netflix.

Anyone else's marked as dispatched?

mine still not marked as dispatched although it still says I can collect from my local sainsbury today??

hoping this doesn't go pear shaped :-/
#38
Mine has gone from next day collection at Argos to 48 hour collection.
#39
Mine not marked as dispatched yet either, although it's not estimated to be delivered until tomorrow anyway.

Fingers crossed it arrives as their feedback indicates their customer service is non-existant.

Mines not been marked as dispatched and should of been delivered today.. Hopefully I don't have to go through the hassle of contacting the seller and getting a refund!
