Thanks:thumbsup:

Great price, but I would question the quality of a 320 x 234 screen resolution.
I bought one just like this last year and the image quality is so rubbish, it's not worth using.
#7
VERY low resolution, will look rubbish, Avoid!

but this is under £20! your not going to get a top end frame for this price, it's good for what it costs!

No it's not, I've had a low res frame and trust me, they look rubbish. Save your cash. Or spend more and buy a better one.

sorry but it just annoys me when people put down a deal and vote it cold because there is a higher spec, alot more expensive alternative which they could buy instead! if you can find a frame for this price with a better resoution by all means post it on here and then vote this cold
#13
You don't get it do you! The price is irrelevant, at that spec it will look rubbish. £20 or not, save your cash.

yes i do get it i don't think you do though this site is called hot uk deals, not hot uk opinions, and according to how much heat it's got some people appreciate me posting it even if you don't.

I'm not one for taking sides but on this occasion I really need to make an exception.

Everyone here understands the correlation between price and quality. Surely if someone wanted a top notch one they'd be able to work out for themselves it'll involve spending a little more wonga than £17.99?

This model has got good reviews and as many people have pointed out will make an ideal present for christmas presents. I too don't understand why some people need to post comments that add little to the debate apart from the blindingly obvious?

Rant over, I'm off for a large cinzano.

...LMFAO!!

Have to agree with her, it's cheap enough for a chrissy present, after all, not everyone can afford a ferrari so they are happy with the car they can afford
#24
sorry , but that is a poor resolution..it will be ok from a distance.
I guess it's like a poor TV picture , some people are happy to view it , others have to fiddle or upgrade.

There's a refurb Hitachi 480 x 234 for £2 more at Argos Clearance shop on Ebay

They should double the RRP and sell it at the same price. That way it would be over 75% off.

I was bought one with a rubbish spec like this for Xmas last year, and to be honest, I don't bother switching it on. We used it on Xmas day and that was it. If you are buying it as a gift, think about it first. Is the person receiving it going to be happy with the spec? If not, don't waste the money, spend it on something else.

mine arrived this morning, resolution is actually a little higher than what it says on play.com, it's actually 480x234 so have editted the original post to reflect this
#29
missp27, mine arrived today too :)
Very pleased with the picture quality but can't get it to play the pics in a random order (despite 'random' definitely being selected in the menu)

I suspect 'user error', can you let me know if you've had the same problem?

Cheers x

soooooorry :( i don't know either, ony because i haven't used it though. it's because i got it as a christmas pressie for some one so don't really want to get it out of it's box.
is it good? i was getting a little worried after all the negative comments!
#31
no problemo - the picture quality is absolutely fine. I'm sure some of the nobbers on here would find fault with it but as a christmas present, it's fantastic value at this price.

The only minor downside is that it does only show pics in the same order each time. There is a "Random" option in the menu but this seems to be to do with the slide transition effect, not the running order. Not the end of the world!
#32
How is this powered? I would like to buy one for my gran and she doesnt have a computer, so is it USB powered? AC powered or what not? Thanks
#33
Appears they don't stock this anymore, brought one on the 6th November, so must have had one of the last ones!!
