Check the deal posted for this 1.2kg one for £99 at Currys plus Quidco cashback on click & collect.
got one for crimbo was very sceptic, but it proved me wrong, does far more than just chips, although i think the £99 + price tag is a bit steep. it even has an app ! myactifry on play
No comment on the price but thought I,d tell you these make great healthy "fried" chips that aren't fried! Oven chips are horrible!
Was £89.99 on Amazon for ages up until a couple of weeks ago.
I posted a deal for the 1.2kg version in black at Argos for £109.99 but got lots of cold votes for some reason!

1 kg of chips. Enough for 4 adults. Free radicals cause premature ageing amongst other things and are caused by overheating / destabalising the oil. This is only caused when oil smokes which does NOT happen in an actifry.
does the actifry pump out the atmosphere causing the oil to boil off at a lower temperature? boiling oil into a vapour is the definition of smoking isn't it?

No its not. Actifry keeps the oil below the smoke point, hard to control the smoke point in a pan.
Has anyone claimed the oil turns in to a vapour?

That's not how my halo works as far as I can tell - the oil stays on the bottom of the pan and the stirrer system makes sure the chips get fairly evenly coated. Hot air is circulated around the interior to cook the food.

These are real good and this is a great price, but i would only buy from argos with the extended warranty to be safe. Had to return ours 4 times in a year due to the lid hinge breaking two times, the plastic rotating piece breaking twice as well. We use it every day, but thats to be expected really..
Terrible piece of kit. The Mother in Law is giving one away free and we still wouldn't take it. If you want to fry food then get a real fryer, if you don't then do it other ways. You can cook healthy far better than wasting money on something like that.
