Amazon are price matching these but HMV give an additional 2% quidco and £3 off with a voucher (3HMVOFF30) drops them to £36.25.
RRP - £79.99

Best deal out there, good spot.
Some people worship Amazon though and may still go that way
#2
If the Amazon deal is hot, this must be too.
#3
Fantastic deal cheers been looking at these for a while!

Bought a pair of these recently for over 50 quid - great sound that brings your MP3s alive (if you ripped them at high quality). A real bargain and a big step up from cheaper Sennheisers etc.
#5
Missed this on Amazon (out of stock) so good spot. Thanks!
#6
How would these compare to my Sennheiser CX550's? I'm fed up with the stupidly long cable on my Senn's.
#7
Anyone find the Klipsch S4i's at a good price? Like these headphones but really need the iPhone remote

I purchased this along with the TCB £1 District 9 deal and used the £4 off voucher instead.
Basically getting the headphones for £36.99 and a free copy of District 9!

I own the Senn IE8 at £180 and the Senn CX300II at around £20. Whilst the IE8 are good they arent much better than the CX300II. Have tried the Shures and the Ultimate Ears and both of these are rubbish. £100 Ultimate Ears are worse than the basic £20 CX300II.

Fancy giving these Klipsch a go but they arent going to be better than the IE8 and because the IE8s arent that much better than the CX300II I wonder whether I should bother looking for the best sound per £ headphones which current are the CX300II in my opinion.

Anyone own this and the CX300II and can comment?

Can't comment on the CX300II but i got these last week and they give good sound for the money. The JVCs' are the most comfortable in ear headphones I have ever used and sound good too.

I hate spending more than £15 for phones as I go through them quick but have ordered the klipschs' based on reviews like this video review

Hopefully they'll last a fair while...unlike my horribly expensive, lasted 2 months, agonisingly painful to wear etymotic ones!

The Klipsch phones and the 50" panasonic TV deal posted here last week stopped me going crazy and getting the ones I really wanted...I was so close.

If you honestly think that the CX300IIs are better than the UEs (I'm assuming the 5 or 700 or better) then you need your ears syringed. Seriously. oO
#12
The UEs superfi 5is are crap phones. My ears do not need syringing.
#13
How do these compare to the Brainwavz M2 IEM which are £34.99
#14
The cx300 are over-rated. Had a pair of them and wondered why they got raved on. Klipsch are by far the most comy headphones on the Market. Bargain price too.
#15
Can anyone compare these to the Klipsch X1/S2's?
#16
Cx300ii is a vast improvement over cx300.

Like I said I also have the IE8s which are supposed to be the best headphones under £200.

However improvement over cx300ii is not that much given the major difference in cost. Will prob give the klipsch and will keep them if they are better than Shure and Ultimate Ears.

biggest problem with headphones (like any set of speakers) is that the purity/quality of sound is so subjective and also reliant on the quality of the source material. with IEMs you just don't get an opportunity to test them first and have to rely on (also subjective) reviews. £37 is a great price for a set of quality headphones and a price i'm happy to pay as the kids will probably try to wreck them inside of 6 months anyway ;)

I have these earphones, but the ones the iPhone control. For me I must say they are fantastic, very comfy. In regards to how others find them... its hard to say as earphones are much of a personal preference. I would say then give a very pure sound and don't bump up the base which is nice. The treble is very clear, but the middle isn't so. spending more for the x5 or x10 would give better quality, but for the price these are fantastic. if you want purer sound go for etymotic hf2 or 5. Hope this helps.

I have these sony phones that came with my mp3......

I purchased the same ones but with short lead from ebay for a fiver and pound for sound they are fantastic and the ebay ones are original (soundtestedbymeincomparisontooriginal,identicalphonesfrommysonymp3)

anybody put me wrong?

I listen to drum and bass on them which is heavy on the bass and treble.

placed my order for these headphones on the 24th and just checked my account and it says "Item deleted - we are trying to obtain this item from alternate sources"

any one else got this message too?
#22
I can't believe it!

My orders been in since Friday, they're still taking orders yet my order status has changed to "item deleted". They say they're trying to get them from an alternate source. With HMV this usually means a cancelled order e-mail will follow.

Might end up at amazon after all.

Yeah, the HMV usual.. this has happened to me on a couple of occasions with HMV and I just avoid them now tbh, total gangsters

Aargh .. me too:

We're getting in touch to let you know that all or part of your recent order from hmv.com has been cancelled:
Qty Format Artist Title Price
1 AC KLIPSCH KLIPSCH IMAGE S4 £36.99
The suppliers have told us that this item is now discontinued, as the manufacturer is no longer producing it.
We're sorry if this causes any disappointment. We always try to keep our catalogue as up to date as possible, but it can take time for us to find about discontinued titles.

Ditto ... disappointing

Bah, me too, voted cold sorry.

what a letdown again from hmv, still advertised on their site too! checked amazon and they are back in stock for £39.99
#28
I contacted HMV to ask them to reinstate my order as they are still in stock, I'll post their reply later, but I'll summarise it here. I warn you it's a bit odd.

The earphones we all ordered (£39.99) were a 'limited stock of promotional ones', these are all sold which is why they cancelled the order. The ones in stock on their site now are 'not promotional ones' and so are now the normal price of £39.99. I can order a pair at this price if I want!

In plain English I took this to mean they don't want to honour the voucher used which magically turned the normal phones into 'promotional ones' which they then 'ran out of'. If you don't use a voucher they will send you the 'non promotional ones'...clear as mud (or mad as badgers).

Not surprisingly the other order I have with them for over £70 is also in stock and yet is about to be cancelled. It's little wonder they're on the verge of bankruptcy, I've also ordered the S4s from amazon.
