Same stuff as previously posted several times but now it is half price AND buy one get one

Makes this £1.39 a roll, nearly as cheap as nPower deal, though this looks easier to use.

Don't forget Quidco, saved me an extra 83p!

4000mm (4 metres) for the 200mm stuff linked.

The thinner 150mm rolls are 5330mm long.

The Kingsize is also on offer but not in stock near me.

Length (mm): 4000 was what I was looking for

4m long.

Better than the N-Power Stuff, I regreted buying that, Its awful stuff, probably worse than the old fibre glass insulation.

Hot deal, but I disagree with the above comment.

Roughly how many rolls would one need to insulate a standard 3 bedroom semi-detached house loft please? I know it's hard to calculate without measurements, but that's the best I can do being a complete novice with such stuff! Thanks in advance! A rough idea would be great.
#11
It depends whether you are topping up existing 100mm insulation or starting from scratch.

Read somewhere (nPower website?) that the average UK loft is 55 m2. So that would suggest you need about 40 rolls, ie buy 20 and get 20 free.

The calculator is down on the nPower website so I can't be much more help I'm afraid.

Thanks, Chris! Appreciate it.

40 rolls!! hmm thats going to take some interesting packing of my car!!
#14
Got to disagree with the statement
nearly as cheap as nPower deal

This works out at 94p per sq. mtr whereas the thicker nPower rolls worked out at 30p per sq. mtr.
So these are 3 times the price without taking delivery cost in to account.

Still a stonking good price and probably worth the extra for the convenience, so Hot from me.
#15
This is not getting hot, more insulation required??

Why not telephone your local Authority ( or your energy supplier ) and ask if they can arrange to do it for you? Mine gave me the name of company that arranged the whole thing for £99. This included a preliminary survey, the installation ( After I had emptied the Loft ) A draught seal to the Loft hatch and a new insulation jacket to the hot tank. They also insulated the cavity wall for a further £99. If you are receiving benefits you may get it for free. I cleared out the old insulation which was only 25mm thick and in a bad way because of Mice and had two layers of 175mm insulation installed.

The offer may be limited to certain areas and I have heard that it is so popular, that there may be a waiting list because the money allocated for this year has been spent and you will have to wait for next financial years allocation

Checked my local store and its not BOGOF anymore.
Still good value tho.
#21
Can anyone confirm if this deal is available in store?
#22
Am I the only one who thought the picture was of fish?
#23
I could get 12 rolls in a mk1 Focus

Dont forget B&Q returns policy. You can return it within 90 if you have a recipt and 28 days if you dont (makes me chukkle) so your better off with too much rather then too little.

Yep, me too or a victoria sponge cake with silver icing

This stuff will save you money year after year, I check insulation for a living and improving loft insulation is usually the easiest fix!

Be aware of correct way to lay if you have downlighters in the ceiling or indeed electric cabling running along your joists as these can get too hot if insulated.
