bought one of these last year from tiger stores for 15quid, my local lidl had them for half that price. really like these bristle block type holders as they offer a far more flexible option when it comes to wider blades such as meat cleavers than a normal wooden holder. below is the link to my old deal that has photos of what the block looks like

though as the above went pretty cold not sure this deal well fare any better even at the lower price

Very unsafe design. Sharp blades are left exposed. No wonder people voted cold

Had a look at one of these the other day, i personally would not entertain such a design, good idea with the use of bristles, but not well thought out, easy to knock over as not the most stable, without any knives in. At least in a wood block you can only grab the handles of a knife

thanks for the comments, we've had our similar version about a year. In that time no mishaps due to blade exposure (Mrs its conversely constantly garnishing or food with stay bits of fingertip when she's chipping in a hurry) and I can't really imagine how you would have any such incidents unless you were reaching for the knives without actually looking at the holder. This may be common practice for busy chefs in restaurants, but certainly not in our kitchen at home.
