Ah those were the days......I remember back in like 1997 where a 2X CD Writer cost £199, and blank disks were like £1 each and packaged in jewel boxes instead of on a spindle.

1992... a year after the initial machines hit the US market at a cost of 40,000 USDs (with blank media around 75-80 USDs each!)... UK single speed external CD-RW device: £350.00.

50 discs for £2.19? Definite heat added.

BFN,

kapows;

Well not any more, lol! I use DVD-Rs normally but OH needed rush job done on CDR's only. 3 would have done it but Poundland were knocking them out in pairs. All very tasteful in their individual jewel cases, some sort of retro deal "back to the 90's" from the comments above. ;-)

H&R added for this spot - which gets even better when you look in more detail as tesco are doing a buy 5 get the cheapest one free, so you effectively get 125 DVD+R for £8.76 [which is about £7 per 100] if you can collect from store.

I've just ordered 400 - so H&R added.... may be worthy of a post all alone !!
I'll leave it to "Sin of Nature" to post as he found it ...

Heat and rep added. I bought 25 blank cds for £3 from asda the other day. Only needed them to burn some mp3's for the car radio, but the sodding radio no longer works :(

Hot if you order 700 discs it works out to free collect at store... otherwise you have to pay to collect at store for orders under £25

*waits until the inevitable splurge of Ebay listings of dozens of spindles.
#22
What's the media code, heard kodak discs are not that great
#23
DVD+R media type is AML-002.
picked up my store collection yesterday, and burnt half a dozen discs.
1 failure on the verify out of 6 is a bit worrying.
Will see what happens to a full pack before I decide on using the remainder or taking them back.
