Depends on the quality/type of battery you use.

Good rechargeable will almost always be a better option than disposable alkalines.

Have a read here: http://www.steves-digicams.com/accessories/batteries/

Not gonna be the best camera in the world by any stretch of the imagination but reviews sound like it's not too bad and for thirty quid you can't complain.

Bought this camera last week from pc world. Having read reveiws was a little worried about battery life but sort advice in store. Seems rechargable batteries are not all the same! The higher number the more powerful and longer lasting they are. so make sure you buy correct ones for heavy use, mine cost £12 for 4 in sainsburys but have already proved to be good value for money.
The camera itself is great for my needs and has a easy to use menu. Pictures are of a good qualilty and compact enough to pop in hand bag. I dod n't really use the easy share button but my 12 yr old daughter loves it. All in all great camera for just £35
