A great price for this camera! For free delivery use discount code: FREEDELIVERY

* 10MP
* 3x Optical Zoom, 5x Digital Zoom,
* 3" LCD Screen
* SD/SDHC Card Expansion Slot

The M1033 is one of the most successful digital cameras from Kodak?s range because it?s really simple to use and its interface is one of the easiest to navigate. The M1033 comes with a 10.3-megapixel CCD sensor and a 3x optical zoom, so image quality is always outstanding, and a Smart Capture mode, enabling you to point and shoot while the camera analyses the scene and makes the adjustments it feels are best. The M1033 even records HD short clips and easily transfers your creations to a computer, thanks to its high-speed USB port or PictBridge printing terminal. Typical of a small digital camera, the M1033 is compact enough to fit into your pocket, so you can whip it out at a moment's notice and take that perfect shot!

Excellent timing.

Been looking for a camera that shoots decent video & can zoom whilst doing so.

(It doesnt seem to say in the Cdiscount description but this camera can shoot 720p video!)

Didnt expect to find one at this price !!

p.s. The Free delivery voucher expired last night so may have to change price to £71.99 inc delivery.

I would just caution to check this one out thoroughly before rushing to buy. I'm not familiar with this particular model and it seems like an OK spec for the price but most Kodak cameras do seem to get pretty mediocre reviews. Is it worth paying more for HD if the camera itself is not so great? Are you really going to take much HD video - in which case you'd be far better with a dedicated camcorder?

At the rate camera prices are still falling it may not look such a deal in a few weeks time. 4x and even 5x optical (forget digital) zooms are falling towards this price range. I'd favour brands like Panasonic, Casio and Canon over Kodak any day.

Just a few thoughts which may help someone weigh it up but good luck if you go for it.

Hmm, it's been this price for ages on the main digi cam page of cdiscount - I've been looking at new cameras myself, looking at some reviews it's not a good one and sure I saw a sample video taking in so called 720p, didn't look good at all, sub-par dvd quality.

Still £69 for a digi cam isn't bad just depends on what your looking for but I wouldn't expect top notch pics with this... Thanks to OP

Cheers for advice - have indeed done some research & am going for this.

Already have a Camcorder but never have it with me when needed. This will fit in my pocket & take reasonably decent video (although accepted wont be same quality as a camcorder).

More reviews here - appears Kodak have upped their game.

All the reviews I've found are pretty positive - where were you looking?

Even sub DVD quality video from a pocket camera aint bad - I think the "HD" bit is just marketing (all the companies are at it).

Heres a link to a sample video from the camera http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_reviews/kodak_m1033/samples/100_0057.MOV

Taken from here http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_reviews/kodak_m1033_samples.html

Seems pretty decent to me.

It's probably just me - I'm a bit of a camera snob I guess I can see loads of problems with the pictures it takes - images are blurry at native res with barrel distortion and chromatic abbreviation etc...

But not bad for £69 - I've just been spoilt with DSLR's so coming back to looking at compacts it's never going to fit the bill (want a small pocket cam)

This camera isnt very good, i got it from Kodak a few months ago and returned it for a refund, the HD video was rubbish and pics were not that great either.

I've got a Fuji F30 which is the only electrical thing I've ever bought which has gone up in value since new!

Cracking camera.

Recommend that you try to pick one of those second hand up if you can find one at a reasonable price.

For another tenner there are plenty of places (including Comet) doing the Panasonic FS3 (down from around £130 I think, presumably replaced in 2009). Maybe cheaper still if you do a thorough search. I don't know about its video capability but these are very well built pocket cameras with excellent lenses, etc. At £80 or less I think they're a steal. Still £99 in DSG though - price match?

I'm tempted but have too many cameras already - my experiences with Panasonic and Casio both excellent.
