This comes with a rechargable li-ion battery (you get a lead to plug camera into mains or USB to charge) but no SD card. Play.com to a great 8gb SDHC card for £7.99 (rrp £64.99) which will let you store 2000 ish photos

Next cheapest I can find is £75.00 so seems like a great deal to me. In my store it was still marked as £80.00 in one place but had the £39.98 price in another and scanned at that - cashier confirmed is nationwide price

I bought 2 of these cameras for myself and my friend just over a year ago from Currys for about £80 and they both got the same problem around the same time (won't charge/switch on) and are now in a drawer! Tried a new battery and problem was still there and of course warranty not valid any longer. Seems to be a commn problem with this camera after googling it. But if it just works for a year £40 still isn't bad I suppose ^_^

For electrical goods I'd be hustling for a replacement under the euro directive that means there is a two year guarantee in place on most items. Can't remember if it is through the shop or the manufacturer but worth googling for the full story - stores keep quiet about it or else go big on the two year cover when selling as if they are giving you something extra (when they're not).

These were in stock at Ebbw Vale branch at around 8pm.
#10
how does this perform at night?
#11
Good price - not a good camera. Worth paying a bit more for something decent I think.
#12
sounds like a good deal i threw my camera on the floor when i went on holiday last week myt buy one of these atleast i wont be dissapointed when i decide to throw ir on the floor again !!! any1 know where i can repair a camera ?
#13
It's not going to be the best camera in the world guys and gals but for under £40.00 it's great to take somewhere it might get lost, broken or stolen or to put in a handbag for a night out and at over 10mp with anti blur and face recognition it's not as if it is a terrible camera either!

madcap
how does this perform at night?

read a review on amazon deeming the night mode as useless

Oh well, still a good price

They haven't been stocked in the 3 stores near me. Stratford, Dagenham or Grays.
#16
There are also Canon A470s for £ 19.98. Not sure if they are stocked in all stores, but bought 2 from Sutton store yesterday for £19.98 each.
#17
I saw a few reduced so well worth a pop down
#18
Damn, that cheap. me and my girlfriend have this camera, got i 2 years ago for £120 or something. The camera is actually pretty crap. Any shots that require the flash never turn out any good. for £40 though, its a good deal

Wouldn't thank you for a Kodak camera, let alone buy one !
#20
havent seen this yet :(
#21
wouldnt touch kodak cameras with a bargepole

even jessops stopped selling them due to a terrible failure rate....so bad it was higher than ALL the other manufacturers put together
