Switch on and be amazed, by the Kodak EasyShare V570. Watch in amazement as the lens cap slides away and the duel lens feature becomes apparent. There is a fixed focal length 23 mm lens on the top, and a more traditional 39 - 117 mm zoom lens on the bottom. In addition, each lens has a 5.0MP CCD for ultimate picture quality. Not only does have these amazing unique features, but it also boasts a 2.5" LCD screen, MPEG4 with audio capture, and advanced digital zoom, and above all the V570 remains extremely easy to use.
I'm no photographer, but what, exactly is the advantage of having a duel lense? Does it create 3D looking photos? or take two different angles of the same snap?

Any camera experts know?

Any camera experts know?

One of the lenses is a fixed focal length of 23mm (35mm equivalent), which is very wide for a compact camera, most typically have a focal length that starts at about 35mm, with a few starting at 28mm.

I believe this is the widest lens on a compact camera, this means you can get a lot more in your picture, enableing you to take impressive landscapes, for example.

The second lens is a regular zoom lens covering the range of 39mm-117mm, which is fairly normal for a compact camera of this type. You only use one lens at a time, depending on the focal length you require, this makes the camera very versatile.

The camera switches between lenses as you zoom in, however, there is a gap in the focal lengths, from 23mm-39mm, I believe the camera can digitally zoom between the range, but as with all digital zooms the quality would be not be as good as using the optical zoom.

Hope that makes sense

Thank you Julie!
