Great company once but have had 2 failed products from them. Camera and inkjet printer so would not touch their products and beware of their customer service. Sounds like their reps are preprogrammed robots reading as script. Also not sure what resolution would be to store 1000 pictures on 512mb.

If you resize the photos to match the resolution of the frame, you will be able to fit >4000 photos in 512mb. (120kb per photo)

For wifi this has surely go to be half decent.
