Seems a very good price considering it takes 720P High Definition HD Video, 12x Optical lens, 8.1mp, fixed detection technology, image stabaliser and large viewing screen.

I wouldnt touch Kodak or HP cameras with a bargepole...even Jessops dont stock these brands anymore...why?

loads of probs.....awful image quality, terrible reliability are two major probs...quite crucial for a camera...lol!

Wife has a Kodak DX6490 and I think it is great, but I prefer my Canon. I just thought someone would like this.

Conclusion

Consumers buy mega-zoom digicams because they want a camera that provides most of the benefits of a digital SLR without the bulk and expense of a modular imaging system, but there are currently so many worthy options that it’s very difficult to choose. The Z812 IS delivers SLR-like handling, lots of nifty features, surprisingly good performance, excellent image quality, and P&S (point and shoot) ease of use – and it does it at a conspicuously lower price than the competition.
